I liked the cleanliness of the hotel, the quality and size of the rooms. Having stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed all my visits, this time I was disappointed with the reception by Maria who seemed as though she was doing us a favour checking us in. Her reception was cold and below par compared to my experiences with others from previous visits and Alexa during the day. It was same thing the 2nd night when I had to request for garbage bags.
I was also disappointed that our rooms were not cleaned the next day - 24th December, understanding that they had noted there wasn’t going to be staff to do so on the 25th. I had to take out my garbage myself. Disappointing.
Same thing with breakfast where it was only 1 staff on duty both mornings. It felt like being in boarding school, lining up to get breakfast. Options for breakfast too were limited. Wasn’t impressed this time at all, compared to my previous visits. Would consider other hotels in the future.
Alexa however was awesome. Her demeanour, reception and willingness to assist guests was amazing. I remember needing milk at the restaurant and rather than let them know at the restaurant, she jumped right in to get it from the kitchen. She always wore a smile which I think was a big deal as well. Hers was a clear opposite to our experience with Maria. She’s clearly an asset to the establishment.
Overall experience this time (4th visit to this hotel in the last year) was average.
