The property needs a lot of care . It’s very old and tiny, super basic amenities . I paid almost $400 . Compared to a 3 bedroom modern apar**ent in other areas we lived in and paid less than $200. I know where to look next time . The lady at the desk when we checked in is friendly and helpful though .

A lovely motel run by a great couple. The facilities are clean and tidy and comfortable. They are obviously building the business up and I sure they will do well. It's location on the SH8 in a very historical township adds to its charm. Lake Tekapo and Mt John Observatory are a 20 minute drive away. Good for summer and winter holidays too as part of the NZ Alpine ski area. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Burkes Pass Country motel! The rooms were clean and cosy and the beds were comfortable to sleep in, much needed after a long drive from Christchurch! We stayed here while visiting Lake tekapo and the drive through burkes pass was beautiful

Everything was terrific, especially the sheep and lambs in the backyard. My stat was very comfortable and I’d be happy to recommend this accommodation unreservedly.
