What we enjoyed: Real question is what is not to enjoy about this hotel?! The moment you enter the hotel, it gives you this royalistic and luxurious feeling as you walk into and within its hallways. Very beautiful and charming interior design! Clean and luxurious feeling! The staff deserves a special notice of their very friendly and polite presence during our whole stay there, always ready to help and serve our needs. We spent our 2 nights on 4th floor and our room was very pleasent with all its features, bed also very comfortable to sleep on and good soundproofing. Upon first enter, we were pleasently surprised by the dessert serving, that was provided for us as a welcoming gesture from hotel! Cakes don't lie. Breakfast was good and delicious and widely provided! Little bit everything for everyone. We loved the dining area in the hotel's beautiful restaurant hall, where you could enjoy your breakfast meal while admiring the hall's luxurious design. Lastly the spa and gym services provided should be something for everyone to check out. We wanted a spa features for our few days stay in Budapest and Aurea Ana Palace hotel's servings for this need were more than satisfying enough for couple days stay. Sauna was brilliantly realdeal (coming from a finn!) and cold pool, jacuzzi pools were suitable enough for relaxing for couple days. For longer than few days of stay maybe bigger spa facility would be needed. We also took massage service in the hotel, which was provided upon request. Masseuses were very professional and caring during the massage! Gym itself wasn't big deal: 2 treadmills, rowing machine, crosstrainer for some cardio training. Strength training possibilities were very minor due to one only small crosspulley device. What we DID NOT enjoy: Overall, I would say we were fully satisfied and happy of our stay in Aurea Ana Palace hotel. We will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for luxurious experience for few days in the city withoit breaking completely their wallet. We'll be keeping in mind of this pearl for the next time we set foot on Budapest! However, few development ideas to consider for the staff: Spa should be useable also during the earlier day/morning (Spa opens by 13.00). This would give more flexibility and even more richer experience for the guest to enjoy morning bath/sauna before starting their day. Gym could use few more additions for strength training capacities. For example in freeweight section, such as: handweights, bars, etc. Elevator traffic was sometimes too crowded. During our stay one of the two elevators was out of service, which made the hotel's one and only elevator overly congested. The broken elevator was sadly out of service during our whole visit.

We booked this with Jet2 City Breaks and the picture of the room did look so much better! The room was very basic. There was no tea/coffee making facilities and no mini bar. There was a safe and a hairdryer. You were only given one towel each and one floor towel - no face towels! The room was very warm and we had to leave the window open all the time...The reception area was very nice though and we used the breakfast buffet which did have a fair selection of hot and cold food. Staff were friendly. We found that we were on the wrong side of the river for nightlife and shopping and we kept having to get trams or use the underground to get to the other side as the bridge nearest to us (Liberty Bridge) was closed to pedestrians. It was in a very quiet neighbourhood so no noise at night. We loved Budapest but we were not impressed with the hotel and location.

Amazing short break with some old Friends. The Hotel was fantastic, perfect location , terrific helpful staff and clean with funky designs. The food in the breakfast area was plentiful, varied and with a perfect Macchiato coffee machine . The bar staff were friendly, engaging and accommodating when we politely asked if the Bar could stay open a bit longer than advertised. We could not fault any aspect of our stay at all and I would certainly recommend it to both friends and colleagues thinking of going to Budapest.

Apartment central. Room was nice. Reception staff not the most friendliest. The beds in the apartment are 2 single beds on wheels not ideal for married couples who are having a weekend away and wanna cuddle up at night. Glasses provided and there was another guests crisps in cupboard. These should be binned as open and unhygienic eating crisps someone has had their hands in. Rooms cleaned daily. A few times maids came in when we were in our single beds. Took towel and never replaced them, had to get out shower to go down and get new towels. It is quite noisy as apartment is on main road. There is blinds on the windows. There is brown curtains but they don’t fit the window so the sun shines in and wakes you up. No chance of a long lie. Beware of street taxis - they will try rip you off when you have been drinking alcohol. I’d download bolt - just like Uber. Kebab shop a few doors down - lovely food Spar straight across the road. Close to some fab bars. Unsure if we would stay here again.

We had an amazing time at UP hotel Budapest. Staff are polite and professional, our room and the hotel were clean, breakfast were good selections of foods and drinks and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. They don’t have kid’s menu so they provided pasta based on my child’s request. My child really enjoyed eating them.I definitely recommend UP hotel Budapest and would like to go back one day.

I was supposed to stay for three nights at the MP Hostel in Budapest; but left a couple of hours after I checked in. I arrived in the hostel before the check-in time; thus requested to leave my suitcase while awaiting check-in. Receptionist David just told me, ”You can put it in the storage room.” He did not even show me where the storage room is. I had to find the room myself. Mind you, David was not busy at that time. He was just chatting with a friend in the reception area. When I finally checked in the hostel late afternoon and went to my room, I noticed that the room was very cold. I opened the heater knob; and waited for more than an hour. No changes; it was still very cold. I then went to the reception; and informed receptionist David about this. He was in the reception, indeed, just talking to another hostel staff Daniel who is apparently the hostel F&B manager. He casually told me, ”Open the heater valve.” To which I replied, ”I did that more than an hour ago; but it's still very cold. Perhaps you can accompany me to the room; and we can both check the heater.” David answered, ”It's not my job. I'm the receptionist; not the technician... and the technician is not here. Wait for your room to get warm.” I said, ”It's been more than an hour since I opened the heater; but the room never got warm at all. If it's not your job to address the heater problem, then who can help me fix this? Can you at least transfer me to another room with a working heating system?” After David called up someone and checked the available rooms, he finally agreed to move me to another room. While I was at the reception waiting for my new room to be ready, I was talking to a friend on the phone to express my disappointment. When David said that my room was ready, I hung my phone up right away; and was surprised when he said, ”I”M A F*CKING RECEPTIONIST. THE HOSTEL MANAGEMENT PLACED ME HERE BECAUSE I SPEAK ENGLISH. CHECKING THE ROOM OR THE HEATER IS NOT MY JOB.” I replied, ” Where did the 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST' words come from? To be clear, I never addressed you a 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST.' ” I said these sentences at least twice, to reiterate my point. Without knowing the context of the conversation because he (Daniel) was playing a video game on his phone, F&B manager Daniel suddenly charged at me, kept on pointing his right index finger at me, and raised his voice, ”Don't you dare disrespect my friend and call him 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST' OR ELSE...” I then said, ”I didn't even call David a 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST.' Go ask him.” When David agreed that I did not call him that, I then went inside my new room which was still very cold. Heater in the new room was not working. Again. After all the negative experience at MP Hostel Budapest, I decided to leave right away; and found another private room in a hostel nearby. Zero customer service. Aggressive. Threatening. I hope the hostel will improve on its customer service, and value its guests.

Currently here at the moment and tbh I’m disappointed! Not like the reviews say. It’s a good 45 min walk to the centre of Budepest. The breakfast is lack lustre at most! Luke warm hot drinks, only one side of the toaster works and very basic buffet. Rooms have no tv, or hairdryers! The amenities it says are here simply aren’t, rooftop bar closed, pasta shop never open, spar next door is very limited hours and the staff are rude. If your wanting somewhere to stay with things around it don’t stay here it feels like your in the middle of no where. Nothing much around it so do expect to be walking quite a way to get to anything. I comply understand it’s geared towards student but even these must be bored to tears with the lack of amenities around the hotel, not even anywhere to grab a bite to eat within a good 10 min walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not On a plus note the reception staff are lovely
ผผู้เข้าพักWe took a one-week spa package. The treatments were good. The food (morning and evening) was delicious. There are 3 thermal pools (1 with a jacuzzi) and a large pool with regular water and a sauna. The room had cloth robes and slippers for the pool. I am attaching photos of an area near the hotel (Margaret Park). ROOMS We were in room 731, on the 7th floor. The view is from a balcony towards the river. A large room, with lots of storage space, electric kettle, coffee and tea, refrigerator, large safe, hair dryer, large shower. There was a clothes dryer in the shower and air conditioner in the room. Tickets for public transport could be bought at the hotel. A single ticket cost 350 forints, a ticket for 10 trips 3000 forints. If you plan a trip with one transfer (2 lines), you can purchase a discounted TRANSFER CARD for 530 HUF, but not at the hotel. In my opinion, the difference of 70 forints (that's about NIS 0.7) is not worth the trouble of looking for a place to sell such tickets. A ticket for 10 trips is individual tickets, so you can use them for several people. There is a bus stop number 26 near the hotel. There is a locked room for luggage storage.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe airport shuttle bus 100E drops only a few minutes walk away from the hostel. (30mins travel) Very useful. There is a socket and reading light next to each bed and I had a change of bedding on my second day. I feel that this is due to there being no bed bookings and you choose your own, so they don't know which bed is still in use. There's a danger you may lose your bed if you don't leave things on it. There was a shared bathroom with a toilet in it and a locker provided in the room too. I brought my own towel as this was not provided. There is shower gel provided in the shower. A really central hostel, though they're is a hub of bars directly opposite, so they're is a lot of noise until very late which means I had disrupted sleep both nights. Plenty of takeaway places close for quick bites to eat and lots of café spots close too. This hostel is also very close to get to the main sights and starts of walking tours also if you'd be doing this too.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe had a reasonably sized 1 bed appt. From other reviews I was worried about noise and bad behaviour of groups of tourists but this is a block of 90 apartments and only 24 are tourist rentals. Others include a number of people with the title ”Dr” so they are not riffraff, if you know what I mean. Our stay so far has been very quiet. Almost no noise from inside the block. It's the centre of a city so there is road noise etc but the windows are triple glazed so keep the noise out very well. Lift and corridors are all v bright and well cleaned. The area is touristy to some extent with loads of good value eating places including a very popular Hungarian restaurant where you need to book called Getto Gulyas. The area as a whole used to be the Jewish ghetto so the huge synagogue is close by but that meant that the are as a whole is quite run down in appearance. I think that makes it a much more interesting feel than some of the more renovated areas. This apartment block is new enough that it's not shown on Google satellite. Apartment was very clean and well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you need for cooking on holiday. Furnished exclusively from Ikea by the looks of it but it felt new and not worn out. Bed is comfortable and on the firm side. So far the is absolutely nothing of any significance wrong with the apartment. Maybe we have been lucky by not being near a stag party. But we've only seen one about town in our stay so far. From our experience we would recommend.
ผผู้เข้าพักI am coming from Canada. I'm extremely frustrated with the hotel and feel compelled to share my experience. The hotel consists of three buildings, none of which are any better than the others. The entrance is dark and the connections between the buildings feel like a maze of catacombs. It's a complete nightmare trying to find your room. Now let's talk about the rooms. They are downright filthy, and don't even think about finding any electrical appliances. Each room supposedly has a minimum of three single beds, but forget about any comfort because there are no pillow tops provided. Can you believe it? To make matters worse, we were completely tricked by that Turkish Holiday Website, ”tatilbudur.com.” They led us to this horrendous place that is worse than any hostel I've ever stayed in. I'm beyond disappointed with this hotel. The lack of cleanliness, basic amenities, and the overall experience is simply unacceptable. They need to seriously step up their game and make significant improvements.
