"The sign at reception states “this is not a Novotel” and this statement is very true. This hotel is a perfect antidote to the beige and soulless chain hotels. The surroundings are excellent, there is a wonderful communal area where families rub shoulders with couples and solo travellers with ease. Rooms were plenty spacious and clean, facilities are excellent - free coffee from a very nice Jura machine as well as a healthily stocked honesty bar which was very reasonably priced. Hosts were welcoming and present throughout the trip without impeding on space. The location is ideal for all the attractions of the historic centre. We will definitely return, maybe even with the children, a really great establishment."

"Great hotel. Very small, somewhat dated room. The signs of wear and tear are a bit too obvious, in my opinion. It was lovely during the Christmas holidays. We received excellent service at the reception. Very friendly!! Bruges makes up for everything!! What a beautiful city. Wintergloed was also very beautiful."
