Fantastic stay. Myself and 2 friends stayed for one night while we were on a bike packing trip round Wales. Gail is a fantastic host. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are very comfortable and perfect after a long day in the saddle. Gail found us somewhere safe to store our bikes overnight. Breakfast was excellent and just what we needed before the next day of our adventure. I would highly recommend.

Yet again a perfect visit. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was wonderful from the quiet man behind the scenes in the kitchen. and Gail could not be more helpful and friendly if she tried. Cannot fault it. Try staying here, it will be impossible to be anything but happy with your stay.

My Father stayed here, and isn't very Internet savvy, so I'm writing on his behalf. He wanted to thank Gayle and Kevin for being so kind during his stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and he felt very safe and welcome. Apparently, Gayle's breakfast was one of the best he's ever had! Thank you for a lovely stay.

This guest house is a favourite however when we wanted to go again in November it was closed due to holiday of the proprietor who very kindly recommended the B & B opposite (The Grange Guest House) which was equally as good. Like the Grange ground floor accommodation suitable for the less able-bodies. Borderers is most welcoming, excellent breakfast, clean, well serviced & most friendly in the right area for all amenities.

The is the loveliest B&B I have stayed in for years. Locally sourced produce for a perfect breakfast served with the freshest of juices and the warmest and most caring host you could hope for. Gail was keen to tailor our weekend with the finest of recommendations for both outdoor activities and food. The bed was super comfortable and the exquisitely selected paintings and furniture were a delight in themselves. I've already planned an Easter break as this is a rare find. Absolute gem. There is plenty of road side parking directly opposite and if you happen to have a car small enough to fit through the wonderful 17th Century Coaching house gates, you may even have your own private car park! FABULOUS!!!!

The atmospheric Borderers Guest House is central to lovely Brecon which is a perfect town for a short break (although it is officially a city as it has a beautiful Cathedral - a St David's Cathedral in miniature). You're sure of a very warm welcome from Gail and Kevin. They are the perfect hosts. Friendly, helpful and know how to put guests at their ease. We had a lovely stay there in private separate room and a very comfy super king bed. Good breakfast provided and Gail went out of her way to get the perfect yoghurt for me! Special mention to the Brecon Mountain Railway, canal walks and boat trips, a book shop that has to be entered to be believed and, of course, the beautiful Cathedral and grounds. A perfect stay. Thank you Gail and Kevin.

Another amazing stay at the Borderers, we never want to leave but are always so pleased when we can go again everything from the comfortable bed ,pillows and lovely room is just wonderful.Gail the host of this wonderful B@B is truly fantastic she always goes out of her way to make your stay a happy one , nothing is to much trouble for this lovely lady and her local knowledge is excellent.Gail you are a star

What a lucky find! We went on a last minute trip to Brecon without booking to stay, and managed to get in here. The building is 365 years old! We had the last room available, it had a view over the hills in the distance and was very quiet. The bathroom was new and everything was super clean. The owners are very welcoming and their cute dog trix is adorable. Thank you Gail and Gavin, we had a great time and thank you for booking us in for the jazz!!!

Disappointed given the reviews Rubbish found under bed / generally dusty - didn’t look like the carpet had been hoovered on arrival Hair found in eggs on first day therefore unable to finish Towels seemed old and bleach stained Clothing felt damp after being in the room Fabric headboards needs serious attention as there seemed to be many people who have put their heads on it - general feeling of being unhygienic Caught a glimpse of the laundry room clearly unorganised and needing a lot of TLC Shame as there is so much more potential to the place.
