Amazing stay at YiJing! The experience at the cabin was truly magical, with its one-window-one-framed view setting that effortlessly brought the beauty of the outdoors inside. Even the bathtub had a stunning vista, making every soak an indulgent retreat. The cabin’s full facilities, including a Dyson hair-dryer, floor warming and an auto toilet, added a layer of luxury that made us feel pampered at every turn. The guest service was simply unparalleled. From the moment we were welcomed at the entrance by the friendly resident dogs, we felt right at home. The welcome drink and snacks, paired with a delightful afternoon tea, set the perfect tone for our stay. Dining recommendations were spot-on, ensuring we enjoyed the best local flavors. The turn-down service, complete with a delightful Chinese dessert soup as in-room support, was a thoughtful touch that highlighted their attention to detail. One of my personal highlights was the Marshall speaker; it allowed us to fill the cabin with our favorite music, creating an inviting atmosphere that felt like our own little sanctuary. We were also gifted with a special Xinjiang gift upon our departure, which was a lovely surprise! Despite the rain and cold that greeted us upon our arrival in Hemu, our stay in YiJing more than compensated for the dreary weather. We would like to give out utmost compliments to the fantastic service rendered to us by Jack of Concierge services. Being our first time to Altay, Xijiang, we are not familiar with transport and Jack has been an absolute gem. He helped us secure pickup at late notice despite the snow condition and continued to take care of us throughout our stay. Our first time in Xinjiang is absolutely wonderful thanks to Jack! The manager on duty also took feedback into stride and did his best to remedy hiccups. Hilton Altay has bus shuttle to the Jikepulin Ski Resort which makes skiing a breeze. We did 3 days of ski until the end of hours and came back for the lounge service. We were thoroughly pampered and will come back to stay at Hilton in a heartbeat. Looking forward to be back next with family. Thank you Jack! Keep up the good work!

Fantastic hotel close to the Hemu Jikepulin Ski resort. Note that this is NOT a a real ski-in, ski-out hotel that another reviewer has stated - it is not possible to ski directly to the resort. It is about 8-min walk from Cable car station 2 of the ski resort to the hotel, but there is a bit of a walk uphill (so I still requested for pickup service). There is drop-off and pick-up service to the ski resort but there may be a bit of waiting because the cars can get full quite fast especially in the mornings - this was during the Chinese New Year peak period. The room is spacious and I loved the big balcony and floor to ceiling windows which had a nice view. However my room was super far away from the elevator so it's a bit of a walk carrying my ski equipment walking in my ski boots every day. The room was way too hot to sleep in though! The thermostat in the room was 30 deg Celsius! No matter how I adjusted the fan, it was not cooling down so I often had to keep the balcony door open slightly otherwise the room was just way too hot. Breakfast is a feast - there is a huge buffet selection of vegetables, meat, fruits and others - it was my best meal of the day! The staff in the hotel are also all very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay there.

Cons: Receptionists creates much confusion and leave a bad experience. I won't return again unless the hotel do something about front desk customer service.. Before booking, they confirmed via wechat that the hotel provides free shuttle to ski resort and guests can use laundry room. Upon check-in, the female staff confirmed the ski resort shuttle service timing and said she will set up wechat group for me. Next day, i turned up at the agreed timing and she claimed that i should have contacted the driver directly if i needed the shuttle service and told me to wait in case there are more guests who wished to go to ski resort last minute. In the end, i never used this ski resort service as revised set off timing at 10:30am was too late. I only take the free shuttle to and fro the transfer station. Even then, the front desk often do not acknowledge my wechat messages, claiming they don't monitor the phone all the time. A few occasions, i had to wait in the cold. Towards the end, i just contacted the driver directly, who is more prompt. There was one evening (about 6:30pm) i wanted to use the mini washer in the laundry room as i only had a light load and requested for help from the male receptionist on duty. He claimed the laundry room is only for the hotel's use. After I insisted, he told me he didnt know how to use the washer and told me the last wash must be before 7pm. How ridiculous! I know some hotels have laundry curfew but not so early. Some people may not even be back from the ski resort or dinner. Pros: Polite driver and breakfast staff. Newly renovated, clean interiors. Great variety in breakfast menu with changes every day.
