Built in the 1840s and still standing proud after the Siege of Vicksburg, this three-story home has been thoughtfully updated with modern touches while keeping its timeless character.On the first floor, you’ll find plenty of space to gather and unwind—enjoy a good book or a game in the library, relax in the cozy sitting room, or share a special meal in the elegant dining room. The kitchen is a cook’s dream, featuring double KitchenAid ovens, a five-burner stovetop, a large fridge, and even an ice maker—great for family dinners or celebrating something special.Head upstairs to the second floor, where three spacious bedrooms with 14-foot ceilings and king-size memory foam beds await. One bed even has original Civil War-era posts—if you look closely, you can still see saber marks! There’s also a comfy living room with a big smart TV and a door that leads out to the beautiful gallery porch.The third floor is perfect for kids or extra guests, with two bedrooms that each have a queen bed and a bunkbed, plus pretty views of the Mississippi River.Belle Terre sits on nearly two private acres, with a lovely brick patio out back—great for grilling, eating outdoors, or just kicking back with family and friends. River View Loft in Historic Downtown Vicksburg, Ms. This one of a kind Loft boasts over 1700 sq. ft. of original wide planked wood floors, brick walls and wood beam ceilings. It overlooks the Yazoo Diversion Canal to the West ( living area) and the east end (bedroom ) faces the Old Court House and Historic Downtown. This building dates back to the 1800's and was used as an old speakeasy in the roaring 20's. It features a huge private King Suit with custom headboard. Attached is a walk-in closet with laundry and on- suite bath with a large two- person jacuzzi tub with rain shower. The main living area is an open concept kitchen and living room with a guest bath which includes an old cast iron tub. We have tried to keep many of the originals features of this space while providing modern comforts. Please note that the loft is up two flights of stairs.
