First floor of a beautiful two story historic building (circa 1820s) that is believed to have once been a Carriage House. There is a nice fenced patio area in the rear with a table and chairs, porch swing, and fountain. The unit has its own separate entrance and is furnished with high end decor and art. Off Street Parking is available; unit is located in the heart of downtown with close views of beautiful buildings (especially nice at night when buildings are lit up with colors). You can rest comfortably knowing the property has perimeter video surveillance for the parking, driveway, and exterior doors. There is one bedroom with a nice king bed and also a comfortable queen size sofa bed in the living area.A full kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, glasses, wine glasses, utensils, k-cup coffee maker, etc. Fridge has an ice maker in the freezer.Wi-fi is free (password provided upon check-in) and there is a smart TV in each room. Located 1/2 block from St. Louis Street with great restaurants, Greer's Boutique Grocery store with bakery/deli and a rooftop bar for sunsets. Greer's on St. Louis should have all the food supplies (including wine and beer) you will need. We are one block from Nova Espresso Coffee and two blocks from beautiful Bienville Square and the popular Dauphin St. "Entertainment District". There you will find lots of excellent restaurants from casual to fine dining, shops, bars; the Saenger Theater is only a 5 minute walk!You will be three blocks from the Haunted Book Shop and six blocks from the Mobile Convention Center, waterfront and Cooper Park. (Cooper Park is next to the GulfQuest National Maritime Museum and the Cruise Terminal).The Mardi Gras parade routes and Bowl Game parade routes will be only one block.This is also a great place to stay before or after a Carnival Cruise out of Mobile.There are all sorts of activities and things to do in Downtown Mobile. Minutes from the downtown entertainment district and within walking distance of groceries, restaurants, Mardi Gras parade routes, and the famous Callaghans Irish bar. Enjoy porch sitting in our swing and rockers while enjoying your favorite beverage. The gulf beaches and Dauphin Island are a short drive away. Enjoy fishing and kayaking in the Mobile Delta. Visit the Mobile Mardi Gras Museum and other places of interest.Porch sitting is what folks like to do in Oakleigh and our front porch provides the perfect experience. Sit in the swing or one of our rockers and sip sweet tea or a mint julip while watching neighbors stroll by with dogs, strollers, and kids on bikes. The living room is equipped with a 55" HD TV with Roku, and a leather sectional sofa for relaxing after a day at the beach. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for cooking if you want to eat in, with a washer and dryer in case you need to wash a few things. Brew a cup of coffee with the Keurig or drip coffee maker. A large dining room table accommodates 6 people for eating or playing a game. The office, just off the living area, provides a desk and reading area for working or a good book. Upstairs, the Stearns and Foster king pillow top mattress in the master bedroom will provide a good night's rest after a long day. There is also a comfortable reading chair and ottoman to prop your feet up. Both second floor bedrooms have a 50" HD TV with Roku. The second bedroom and the top floor bedroom both have queen memory foam mattresses. A 32" HD TV with Roku is in the top floor bedroom along with a small writing desk and a comfortable reading chair.
