I booked to stay here as it was very conveniently situated for the O2 Academy. So pleased that I found The Westby ! Claire gave us such a warm welcome, even though we arrived early ! We were first guests after a massive refurb - beautifully finished. Lots of attention to detail. Delicious full English breakfast. Comfortable bed & pillows. Very clean. Ideally situated for Boscombe high street, the O2 Academy, public transport, beaches & cafes galore ! Nice walk to Bournemouth.

Lovely guest house, perfect location to visit the beautiful places Bournemouth has to offer. Great breakfasts. Comfortable bed and nice room. Duncan is a lovely host. This is my second visit and will be back next year. Accommodation price is excellent considering 5 minutes to the beachfront.

The location is excellent, for shops, beach and the 02 academy. Duncan could not be a more welcoming host. Both the continental and English breakfasts are superb, with home made marmalade, delicious. The room was clean, well appointed, and very roomy. Bed very comfy, and the area is very quiet at night, so you get a good sleep. Would I recommend? Yes. Would I stay again, Yes. Thank you Duncan.

Friendly staff and very accommodating! I had a baby traveling alone and they helped me with bags down stairs and moved their car to allow me to park. Very clean room, bright and airy. Only issue which was my own really due to baby was that the room wasn’t dark enough for her to sleep but as I say that was something personal to my needs. The owner, his partner and the cleaning lady were all so sweet to my baby and me. Close to beach and shops so great location. Even out of house when I needed his help with the door he was able to get back to me so much appreciated.

Welcoming guest house, local to town, offering a superbly comfortable and very clean accommodation. Comfortable bedroom and bed. Host excellent. A beautiful cooked breakfast, mine being Vegetarian. This is a gem of a guest house, highly recommended.

We went to The Westby Guesthouse as a family of 4 and booked the Family Suite. I loved that the kids have their own room/space as the suite was a 2-bedroom on the 1st floor. Duncan, the owner, was also very attentive and nice. The breakfast he cooked was really tasty! He asked us upon checking in what specific breakfast items we want from the list (there's a vegetarian option too). I like it as it avoids food waste. There's also free parking within the property. Also, it's about less than 10-min walk from the beach. There are some lovely restaurants around and a Sainsburys nearby if you need to buy something. Aside from Boscombe and Bournemouth beaches, we also drove to Sandbanks which is around 15-min drive from the property. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse as a base when you're in Bournemouth!

Very warm welcome to clean and comfortable accommodation. Great breakfast. Ideal location for beach and football ground. Duncan the host couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home. Comfortable bed, good shower. Full English breakfast with vegetarian option and also Continental option.

It's absolutely brilliant. Recommend and will return 100%. Duncan is the perfect host and communication outstanding. So welcoming and has thought of everything and in detail. We are a couple with an 8 year old, and it was spot on. Daughter loved her bedroom so much. Fantastic location to local shopping. Aldi, Sainsbury Mcds, etc, which is handy if needs be for extras, etc. Beds were extremely comfy, rooms spotless and cosy feel. If I could rate this place 10, I would. Breakfasts very good. Full English, continental and cereals on offer. Will contact Duncan directly next time and not through *********** as I will get a better rate.

Lovely and clean with a great breakfast. Good location and hosts, rooms are always immaculate. I’ve stayed here twice now and both times Duncan was accommodating to my travel schedules. A great answer for short stays, in a good area - does the job and no complaints!
