Bad St Isidor

My wife and I have stayed here several times before and we brought some friends here last year also. Great place, great host, great food. There isn't anything bad I can say about this place because I simply love it here. The view from the room is incredible. A thunderstorm rolled in one evening as I sat with my friend and we drank schnapps. Magical. Truly. The wife cooks really good food and the variety is great. Breakfast is also good and the view from the dining room is unbeatable. The addition of the free card you get when you check in, which gives you free access to all public transportation including the trams and the train as well as free access to museums is well worth the cost of the stay.

Authentic spotless family run hotel with fabulous views and home cooked food. The pool is lovely to cool down after walking, and it’s a great trip down into town by cable car. A great place to relax and switch off- We will definitely return again

My husband and I stayed here in mid June and it was wonderful. The location is beautiful and provided a wonderful pool to enjoy on a warm summer day. The owners were incredibly welcoming and provided for our every need and request. The optional dinner was delicious and of exceptional quality, a perfect ending to a day of hiking, biking, and exploring. Looking forward to returning.

We've stayed here before and will be staying here again next year because it is that wonderful. The staff is awesome: very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the views from our private, large balcony extraordinary. I absolutely love this area and with the addition of the South Tyrol card that allows free access to all the public transportation and museums, this pension is by far the best deal of all the places we have ever stayed in Europe. Dinners, though set, are very tasty and well prepared and the salad bar is very nice. The drive up from Balzano can be a bit daunting for some people but it is well worth it. Lots of hiking trails that a start right from the grounds and the views.... just spectacular.

Excellent hotel - the owners couldn’t be more helpful, delicious food (vegetarian’s really well catered for) that was brilliant value and a fantastic view towards Bolzano and the mountains. Great walks from the hotel and a lovely swimming pool to cool off in. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting somewhere to stay in this area.

Excelente ubicación para el relax. Productos locales de muy buena calidad tanto desayuno como cena. Trato cercano, agradable. Siempre pendientes de tu bienestar. Vistas increibles. Te regalan tarjeta Bolzano card para todos los transportes públicos y museos. Apuestan por una estancia sostenible. Totalmente recomendable.

Wir waren im Herbst 2022 dort und sehr begeistert. Das Personal, insbesonders das Betreiberehepaar ist extrem bemüht. Das beginnt beim Einchecken, wo einem alles erklärt wird, geht weiter über das Abendessen, wo einem die Menüfolge genau erklärt wird und die entsprechenden Weine erklärt werden. Was besonders auffällt, ist, dass sie sehr auf Nachhaltigkeit achten. So bieten Sie alles aus der Region an, also kein ausländischer Wein, Marmeladen usw. alles aus der nächsten Umgebung. Sogar die Seife (Duschseife statt Duschgel - war echt sehr angenehm) war aus Südtirol. Besonders zu empfehlen ist die Halbpension, da das Essen wirklich sehr gut und abwechslungsreich und vor allem frisch gekocht ist. Auch das Frühstück bietet alles, was man braucht. Ist jetzt nicht das übertriebene Frühstücksbuffet, welches man in manchen Hotels findet, doch ist alles da, was man für ein gutes Frühstück braucht. Vor allem bekommt man auch mal wieder ein weiches Frühstücksei, welches immer frisch für einen gekocht wird - und deshalb vermutlich auch nicht hart ist. Man bekommt aber auch Rühr- oder Spiegelei oder Ham&Eggs. Die Zimmer sind nicht die größten aber sehr sauber und haben ein schönes Badezimmer und einen tollen Ausblick auf Bozen. Unser Hund durfte uns auch immer begleiten, also auch zu den Mahlzeiten in den Speisesaal. Also alles im allem SEHR zu empfehlen, vor allem die sehr ruhige Lage ca. 600 Höhenmeter oberhalb von Bozen. Wenn noch eine Ladestation für unser Elektroauto dagewesen wäre, wäre es perfekt. Ach ja, man kann von der etwas oberhalb gelegenen Bergstation einer Gondelbahn direkt mit dieser nach Bozen fahren und von dort weiter mit dem Bus, sodass man mit dem Auto gar nicht ins Tal fahren muss - alles inkludiert mit der Bozen-Card.

Siamo arrivati in una domenica di comunioni senza prenotare e ciononostante ci hanno trovato un tavolo in una sala normalmente adibita ad altro. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo e, nonostante la confusione nella sala principale, non si sono mai dimenticato di noi. Anzi. Gentilezza super, non scontata!
