An excellent guest house. So so location, but friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and reasonable food. However my stay was somewhat spoilt by having money stolen.from my room The owner made enquiries, but to no avail. If you do decide to stay, I would advise not to leave any valuables in your room

Bad experience! When settling the bill, prices booked for accommodation were not the prices charged! Prices shown on restaurant menu did not correspond to prices charged either! Instead of making an apology and correcting this we were bluntly told that the prices charged were the "new prices". In other words, you cannot trust that what you book, is what you get. Otherwise, a low-key place that offers a reasonable standard if you are looking for a quiet place close to the hustle and bustle of Limbe and Blantyre.

I stayed at Chinyonga Guest House with my husband as we attended a friend's wedding in Blantyre. We had a pleasant stay and the staff are very polite and responsive. Spent sometime at the pool and our dinner was served by the pool as well. Very well cooked food and nice basic breakfast. The room was clean as well. Only request would be that they should have mosquito repellent readily available in the rooms. Definitely recommend!

Chinyonga guest house exceeded all our expectations, we stayed for 6 weeks and it really did feel like home. All of the staff members became our Malawi family and we really will miss seeing them everyday. The team would always be on hand to assist us with anything from laundry, to getting us to a pharmacy quickly when unwell. The rooms were modern, huge and had everything we needed in them. Always felt so safe and we loved watching the sunsets from our balcony every evening. We hope to get the chance to come back to Chinyonga one day, thank you so much for making our stay in Blantyre so amazing.

This our second stay with university faculty and students. The first group was 22 people and the second. The staff are friendly, quite accommodating and most importantly, flexible. Rooms are clean, comfortable and include en-suite bathrooms. Many have great views, and some have small balconies. They have a good basic breakfast, and lunch and dinner are available. Our team this visit was conducting fieldwork, and the staff prepared excellent box lunches each day. Based on schedules, we were able to let them know the time we preferred for breakfast and dinner. For the limited downtime we had at the guesthouse, relaxing by the pool or in the small indoor lounge area was pleasurable. Chinyonga Guesthouse is a great value for dollars invested. Great place for small groups to find a calm oasis in a busy city.

We got terrible service. When we got to the place, there was no one to attend to us on the premises. We tried calling and no one picked up. The owner was also not helpful and had a terrible attitude. We spend only one night there and I wouldn't go back to this place.

We were a group of 22 faculty and students, TEAM Malawi Global Health Experience. The rooms were great. We ate breakfast and dinner almost all of the 7 days, and food was great! The entire staff could not have been more responsive and helpful. Only regret is that we did not have enough time to relax by the pool and enjoy the view.

I had the privilege of staying here for two nights in July, and it was fantastic. Chikondi, Protazio and the team treat you like family, and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. The rooms themselves are clean and the location is very quiet. I would highly recommend this guest house.
