I would hate to blame the staff (who were nice), but the service combined with property condition is what I disliked. There was a "trick" to get my room door open every time, the ice machine did not work, there was only sausage and biscuits, english muffins, milk and coffee (allegedly the pancake machine "doesn't work"). I am bringing this up because I have enjoyed my Super 8 experiences in the past and this was a passable as a n imaginable "Motel 5". This particular hotel seemed to have been put on auto-pilot during the pandemic and whomever supposed to check back, checked-out.
