Mica Point City Centre Apartment

I thought this property was a city centre aparthotel type property and it definitely is not. It was clean and convenient but quite scruffy and a distinct lack of necessary things in the kitchen ( 4 non matching water glasses, no wine glasses or fizz glasses, baking trays, matching plates etc) it definitely should have been of a higher standard for the price.

Great communication and easy secure parking near to town centre. Taxi rank 1 min walk and rooms and beds comfortable.

I may be biased but we are so grateful to these hosts! Long story short, we were defrauded by Living Comfortably at Southside Apartments, St Johns Walk, Birmingham on my hen night! Arrived at 2:45 pm, commence 2 hours of stress trying to get money back & a room to stay in. Thank goodness my fiancé found Mica Point for us. They were so understanding of the last minute booking. Free car parking with a good sized space behind locked gates. Large bedrooms. 2 bathrooms - although could do with re-sealing as there’s some mould. There were also marks already on the counters & carpets. It was a bit university vibes. Regardless, it was a clean & comfortable bed to sleep in, near town, with parking & these guys saved the night for us. I’m honestly so grateful.

We stayed here for a weekend, what a miserable little flat. Could be so lovely as the location is great. Grubby, mouldy and just very miserable to be in, hence why we made sure we spent as little time in it as possible. Thankfully we had our own bedding with us…we’re well traveled! The bathrooms filthy and mould growing in the windows. Every wall had damage. I wouldn’t recommend and the price does not reflect the state of the place!!

AVOID!! I am devastated i had to give this even 1 star. I have never felt so uneasy staying in an apartment in my life. Balcony doors in the living room open out onto an open street where you can literally watch *********s happen in broad daylight. The strong smell of ********* circulates the building and outside. The apartment was absolutely filthy, my friends and i had to clean the apartment before we began getting ready as there was physical filth on the benches, table, floors laced in gritty substance like salt. The bin area in the corner of the living room stunk of hot garbage. The bedroom i was staying in was okay apart from the obvious black mould growing up the window due to lack of air flow. This is dangerous for people with allergies and even for those without. Our second morning i decided to take a bath, i don’t know WHAT i was thinking but as i lay with lower face submerged i noticed something floating on the surface. This was a web mould/mildew coming from under the bath handles. I almost vomited and showered immediately. These are not liveable conditions. The owners of this property in my opinion are complete scam artists, we rented multiple apartments for a friends weekend away and due to issue in one of the other rooms, this owner decided to penalise ALL guests by withholding the entire deposit paid despite paying by room. The owner put this down to a cleaning charge, even though myself and my friends were on OUR hands and knees cleaning this sad excuse of an apartment before and after our visit. The cleaner of this property must be laughing getting paid for NOTHING. Strong smells of sour milk in the fridge, drains were clogged causing slow water drainage meaning waiting up to 30 minutes between bathing when their was SIX of us in 1 apartment. Just a complete and utter waste of your money and time booking here. What you think you are saving by booking here you will sharp be conned out of on your departure in my opinion. STUPIDLY, i did not take pictures as i assumed due to the absolute state of the apartment on entry we’d get our deposit back meaning this was a cheap stay but how wrong i was. Because of these selfish, vile and disgusting people, we have now been left out pocket in the middle of a financial crisis whilst they laugh all the way to the bank from prying on the innocent. As you can see from previous reviews this is not the first time and i’m sure we will not be the last. 0 STARS.

Nice apartment close to city centre amenities

Average two bedroom apartment close to downtown for Christmas markets. Check in and booking process way over the top. Too many phone calls, what’s app, and messages for prepaid stay. Apartment is well used but reasonably clean.

Good communication. Apartment close to city centre, carpark at back of property.

Top floor apartment, great views around birmingham. Great base for city centre 5 mins to chinatown. Good traditional chinese food. Host was great kept in touch, everything went well.
