Nachdem es Komplikationen mit dem ersten Zimmer gab, wurde mir sehr nett an der Rezeption weiter geholfen.
Ich bekam ein kostenloses Upgrade.
Super netter Service! Auch das neue Zimmer ließ keine Wünsche offen.

I would rate this 10/10 except that they didn’t have a fridge. But they have everything else a traveler needs. First the location is superb. Just a short walk from the Friedrichstraße station. All the major attractions are also with walking distance except for a few. There is an elevator. The security is good. My room had a view to the river and tv tower. It was a good size room with plenty of space for luggage and surfaces for your stuff. There’s kettle, tea and coffee. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The bathroom…. finally a hotel that has hooks and surfaces enough for your clothes and stuff. The hot water for shower was strong and hot. So good for a tired traveler. The tv had a couple of English channels. I did not have their breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

A really run-down old "Plattenbau" from the times of the former GDR - for a premium price per night. Webpage is very fancy - but does not match the reality. My room has been really small and depressive - youth-hostel standard with an ugly view on an ill-maintained neighborhood roof with old furniture. Never again !

I asked for more pictures of their bathrooms as couldn’t see any online and a guy named Steffan declined my booking. Can still book room on website and dates are still available on air b n b so being declined was obviously for asking too many difficult questions for Steffan. Just seems a bit odd, are they hiding something?

We spent a few days in the Gottfried suite and it was amazing, very comfortable bed, kitchenette, big bath and bigger shower. Also a set of bunk beds although we didn't need them. A 5/10 minute walk from station with S and U Bahn trains along many restaurants and shops. We only has the hotel breakfast on the first day as although it had an excellent selection it wasn't quite what we wanted, but as we had the kitchenette we were easily able to do our own. Room had both kettle and Nespresso machine so spoilt for choice on that front. Robes and slippers are always a sign of a classy establishment, the robes were XL but felt a little smaller than that, but that's not an issue as does the job - just had to be careful on the balcony when going there from the shower! Would happily visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at Neuer Fritz Hotel in Berlin. The room and restorant were great and close to major attractions. The front desk employee Nikolas was very friendly and helpful with any request we had and we had many. We were happy with the hotel choice and hope to stay there again someday.

We wanted to come back to this hotel after 18 years for its incredible position a stone’s throw from both Friedrichstraße’s metro station and the Mitte and for its amazing view on Museuminsel and the Spree — and we were not disappointed. Fully redecorated a few years ago and very beautiful. It has become though a little more “informal”, perhaps following the self-help-stay trend which is common worldwide and we expected to pay less since the service is minimal. The staff though was super helpful and welcoming and the view from our room and the ability to reach whatever metro stop from Friedrichstraße totally made up for anything else.
