This tired premier inn lets down the brand. It has no aircon and even on a day where it was 16°C outside the rooms were unbearably hot at night. I would definitely avoid in the summer. There’s a pub next door which had festival-like outdoor music playing that you could hear with the windows closed until midnight so no one could sleep. The rooms are scruffy and need repairing (gaps in the sealant in the bathroom etc), and there are no electric chargers in the car park. I’d avoid and pick a different hotel in a different place.

Great location for what I needed always a friendly welcome from Ceri who is always smiling. Helpful and efficient. Lots of food choices nearby and cinema for entertainment. Great Location for a bit of shopping at lakeside. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable.

The hotel is idealy located on the festival site, tons of car parking and an abundance of restaurants to chose from. The lady on reception (Ceri) was bubbly, enthusiastic and so helpful. The room was perfect, especially for such a good price. All in all, a very good experience. 5 Stars.

One of the best local hotels I have stayed in! The staff were extremely helpful could not do enough especially Lesley and Jenni both made me laugh and both made me feel very welcome. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel top marks! My hotel room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. Definitely will retun.

I booked my 65year old dad with dementia to stay here for 3 nights. After 1 night they evicted him. No explanation, no email or letter of this eviction. Receptionist was rude laughed at the situation, wouldn’t make eye contact and said it’s not my decision not my problem. Would never stay here again

I was staying for one night, I was able to park at the leisure centre carpark all day for two days for free, I didn't return to the hotel until after 10pm where I was checked in and staff were very helpful and made sure that I knew I could go out again and how to get back into the building. Next morning I checked out without any issues and was assisted by friendly staff.

Staying at the Basildon Travelodge was a good choice. Reasonably priced compared to similar hotels nearby. Staff were amazing led by Mama Travelodge! (You know who you are) All staff were helpful and greeting you with a smile.

Great. The room was clean and comfortable. Lesley on the front desk made me laugh and really made my day! I arrived after midnight because I was travelling, but I was dealt with quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this as a convenient place to stay.
