Waterview Deluxe Apartments

DELUXE IT IS NOT. We arrived and immediately were sceptical as you enter by the fire exit back door. First impressions are everything. It looked like a slum. Up 2 flights of stairs to reception. Sacks of dirty laundry scattered about. Given the key to N°10 appar**ent still hopeful we might be surprised we went up 2 more flights of stairs and found our front door. Went in looked okay clean, tidy. It was on 2 levels with a bedroom upstairs (more stairs) kitchen was big spacious living area had new sofas and a dining table. Large TV. Upstairs to the bedroom. Double bed that was 2 singles pushed together one was broken so the bed was on 2 different levels. It was so uncomfortable with a grove down the middle. I found another duvet in the wardrobe and folded it to put under the sheets in the hope it might help but no. It was so thin it made no difference. It also had blood stains on the duvet and the sheet had dirty marks. Only one bedside table so had nowhere to put glasses ECT at night. No mirror in the room to do hair or makeup despite plea ty of room for a dressing table. Windows were filthy and the blinds were broken and wouldn't tilt either open or closed. Shower had mould/dirt around the tray the flooring was lifting as it was laminated and seen some action. We persevered another night hoping much walking and we might sleep better but no. Another night sleeping on a concrete block would have been better. We packed up and left early and booked a different hotel. 🤞🏻 Hoping for a better night sleep. I text the owner to say we were checking out early because of the bed problem. They didn't respond. A lady in reception offered another room but by this time I'd already booked elsewhere. The view from our room was a 1970s office blocks at no point did we see any waterview. This is a basic cheap apar**ent block that would suit workers passing through. Barrow is a desolate dock town with nothing much to do or see. I won't be recommending anyone visiting here anytime soon.

Visited for one night with my boyfriend and another couple. We chose these apar**ents for the distance to south lakes zoo and the affordable price. The outside of the building didn’t fill me with confidence, but there was a small car park attached to the hotel, I parked there and rang the number provided to check it was okay to park there and was answered by a really friendly lady who let us check in early. Check in was easy, the key was kept in a lock box. The apar**ent itself was lovely, decorated really tastefully and it was huge! It was a 2 bedroom apar**ent and it had a really large living/dining room, with a good tv and WiFi. The bedrooms were really comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and modern. The location of the apar**ent was really central. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Good location close to shops and attractions we were visiting. Excellent communication from host, responded straight away. Lots of space on apar**ent and very cean. Nice to have tea and coffee provided. Only minor issue as a family of 5 couldn't sit together at dining table as only 4 chairs.

Great place every thing we needed. A Morrisons across the road for a cooked breakfast. Or to buy supplies if your cooking yourself stayed in room 6. 2 double bedrooms large kitchen/living space. If anything Shower could be updated. But would definitely stay again.

Booking says we will be met at property if we arrive before reception closes. We arrive and noone is at reception. We call a number and I am reprimanded by the voice on the end of the line for not checking my text messages or answering my phone (I had obviously been driving). This is not the way to treat guests.

DON’T BE PUT OFF BY THE AREA! The area is very industrial but the apar**ent is not. Space inside the property was huge! Comfy furniture and was reasonably clean and tidy. Property needed some touch ups here and there but nothing terrible.

It was a great place to stay for us big rooms kids loved it. Morrisons 2 mins away only thing was never met any staff

Beautiful spacious apar**ent right close to lots of amenities. Great communication from staff and Jess was very helpful. Would highly recommend
