Vis Urban Suites&Spa

My partner and I spent 3 nights here. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is that they don.t have an emergency number or reception past 10 pm, because we had an issue with the air con where it got stuck on cold all night and it was freezing. However the hotel looks stunning, our room was super big and very well designed, everything was super techy and posh. The breakfast was also super good and tasty with a lot of variety. The spa was nice, the pool is very small with two seats for water massage but they have two saunas and a relaxing area. The staff is also really friendly and nice. All in all a really good hotel!

I had an incredible experience. I came for work, relaxation and a bit of the culture of the city and I was very satisfied. Although I didn't get to visit the beach , there were many sights to see within the city and the location of this establishment made if easy to move thru out the area without transport. I enjoyed walking and viewing the old architecture as well as going in to the old town and visiting the bars and eateries. The food was an adventure and the seafood is heavenly The atmosphere is vibrant and the plus of the people are lively. A beautiful place to visit for a short or long stay.

If you think it is a high end spa and it is worth the money they ask for, think again and if you want to know why and have the patience to read about my experience of yesterday, it is as follows. I went thinking oh finally an high end spa in Bari, because this is supposed to be a spa of a boutique hotel, but once again I got disappointed by the low customer service that is pretty much typical of the city in most places. Considered the high expectations that the place sets from their website, I was really let down by the cheap attitude of some of the staff that was really unprofessional and by the lack of communication about 1 of the 3 items in the spa not working, which is a very important matter that never got mentioned to me, not at the phone 1 hour before and not at the start time. First of all if my appointment is at 2.30, we all that worked in this industry know that, you don't wait the start time of the treatment especially if the customer arrived 15min earlier on purpose, to start the activity right on time, the customer should arrive 15min earlier because in those 15min you need to explain all the facilities and they have time to get changed and most of all you don't turn the candles on at the time when the customer arrives, wasting the time that should have been for the meet and greet/changing/breifing, all should be already ready but this was not the case, as it is not a proper high end spa, it pretends to be. Then the form for the consent were as well given to us late, when we were heading straight to the spa and were left there the whole 2 hours for anyone to see the personal info and details, as nobody cared to collect them after we finished to fill them in, so zero professionalism there too. We had to change in this walk in closet, more than a changeroom, as it is more a closet intended for the in house customers that come already changed and just drop the valuables in the lockers and don't really need space to get undress, take away shoes or space to put the bag and sit while you are there. It is a really tiny space where more than 1 to get undressed and changed really do not fit comfortably, as there is only space for 1 bag and 1 person seated in this wobbly shoes cabinet and it is a changeroom/toilet/1shower unisex, so if someone else is already there nobody else can use it as it is all an unique room, so a guy had to shower somewhere else as I was still drying my hair and needed to get changed, since my hair got wet and I was not coming from the hotel, so needed my time to dry my hair before getting home, this tiny toilet space does not even have any ventilation, as any other toilet would have, so it is really humid and suffocating after the shower and  with the hairdryer on and if you can't stand small spaces the whole spa is not for you as the steam room and sauna are really small and not good if you are claustrophobic. e breakfast bar. The buffet breakfast was included and proper coffee was served, the food selection is also ideal for a plant based diet. Staff is really warm and welcoming, making our stay a really pleasant experience.

Booked a one night stay, which regrettably I had to cancel due to ill health and emergency surgery which was supported by a doctors medical declaration. They ignored emails sent 5-6 weeks previously both from me directly as well as ******* whom we booked with. Finally called them today and spoke with them, and they declined to provide a refund. If this forms part of their booking terms then I must accept this, but after giving them over 5-6 weeks notice and the fact that it was a medical emergency surgery, I would have hoped for a little more sympathy, kindness and understanding. Regrettably, as we like to stay where we feel looked after, we will not be staying with Viz Urban Suite & Spa again in the future. Make your own judgment about their business ethics.

Spent 6 night at this peaceful oasis in the middle of Bari as part of our Italian holiday in Puglia. We booked a comfort room which was spacious for our 6 nights. Bathroom was a very nice size and plenty of room for luggage. We never felt cramped. Can walk to the old town in Bari and all the sights. Plenty of restaurants too. Parking is available at a garage down the street (two blocks) at a reasonable cost. Never an issue getting the car or dropping off. We used Bari asa home base to explore some of the towns in the Puglia region. You pay the hotel for the parking who validates your parking receipt. Breakfast was served in a cute restaurant on the main floor next to the lobby. Loved the homemade yogurt. Great selection and a proper cup of coffee! We never used the Spa so cannot comment. What we liked best about this city was the smaller boutique like feel. Bari is a bustling city but once you walk into the VIS you feel at home!

Our room was very nice, but the service was somewhat lacking, even though most of the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was also excellent. However, on our first night, during a heatwave, there was no air conditioning in our room. When we mentioned this the next day, the person at the desk looked at her computer, shrugged her shoulders and simply said it was shut off. No apology. In addition, we would have expected that a hotel in a city like Bari would have someone available all the time. But the hotel staff was gone by 10 pm (22:00). This is not a bargain hotel either! When our driver did not show up at 4 a.m. on checkout day, we were stuck in a deserted, dark hotel lobby with no one to help us get a taxi. Our car not showing up was not the hotel’s fault, but not having someone there to help was not a good situation. We have stayed at another, more conveniently located hotel in Bari that would have easily handled the situation, and the cost for both hotels are roughly the same.

Sophisticated and modern boutique hotel. Tastefully decorated in warm hues. Impeccably clean. We were offered a welcome drink at the hotel’s lounge, and were graciously upgraded to a junior suite, with a marvellous (and quiet) private terrace. The all female team is discreet, efficient and very welcoming. Full spa on site (did not go, so cannot comment). Breakfast is offered in the lounge and includes home made jams (also available for purchase to bring back home), yogourts and pastries. Would definitely return to this hotel on a return trip to Bari. A class act!

We have just got back from 6 days in Bari where we stayed at Vis Urban Suite and Spa. We had a brilliant experience and would recommend this hotel highly. Delicious breakfast, every single morning with superb homemade cakes amongst others. Our room was fabulous and the team in and around the hotel were incredibly helpful. Can’t recommend this hotel enough if staying in Bari.
