This is without a doubt the single best hotel experience I’ve ever had in the West. Every interaction with staff is overflowing with consideration and care. The rooms and garden/pool area are as charming as they are relaxing; I have been able to recharge as if I went to an elite spa. This is the kind of welcome you hope for after long flights overseas. I especially want to mention how thoughtful Juan Cruz and all who received me on the 8th were when they learned I lost sleep trying to stay at a lesser place the night before. I was invited over early as if I was family and given the opportunity to rest and rehydrate and this probably saved me from sickness and a ruined trip. Thank you so much Juan 10/10 service

The second time I stayed here, I was just as happy as I was on my first visit. Although I didn’t get the expensive breakfast, the hotel is clean, the room is very nice and clean. Albeit small. 

This hotel is centrally located in Barcelona in the Balmes neighborhood. It has a lot of shops, stores, restaurants and bars in walking distance. The hotel is nice and clean. The room was a bit small for price but clean, ac/ heat wotrks. The pool is nice, although to cold to use when I was there. The gym was a bit small for my liking but it has something. The staff was nice for most part. The hotel was a solid 4 stars.

A fantastic stay — service, cleanliness and overall experience were all impeccable. The staff were warm and attentive, the rooms spotless, and the location in Eixample is unbeatable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Good location but not worth a four star hotel The good thing: continent location if you want to visit certain tourist places and is close to a good selection of bars and shops, good cleanness However if you care about sleep this is not a good choice, sound proofing is pretty poor where all the guest door would slam without slow shutting, which you will get easily woke up by late neighbors. Other than thin doors, they also assigned me a room that facing directly to the elevator which also “contributes” a lot to quality sleep. Remember to check with them during check in if you are noise sensitive With this price it is better to look elsewhere, there are hotels who are doing better In basic hospitality needs than fancy art works.

Very clean, helpful staff, unique decorations of the room.

We stayed in a family room at Hotel Balmes and overall found the accommodation spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The housekeeping was excellent, and the hotel staff were consistently helpful and solution-oriented. When we experienced an issue with our first room, they assisted us immediately and handled the situation with great courtesy. However, we felt that the breakfast was quite limited for the price, and the coffee did not meet our expectations. Apart from this, our stay was enjoyable and we appreciated the hotel’s service and hospitality.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, location was good and very accessible

We stayed there 4 nights, in first night around 10:30 someone kept knocking on my door wanted to get in, I called front desk, I told them it's the steam not smoke causing the bathroom steamed up, it's an alarm showed on their end, not in room. Problem is the bathroom fan was not working, room steamed up during shower, if that's the issue we, as guests, should be notified at check-in time. Next morning I questioned Front desk that guests should not be bordered at late night and it's a known problem with guest room, front desk gave me an excuse that the guy is new & not sure about the procedures. Well, that's management & training, apology was not accepted & no compensation was offered, like switch to another room that may be in better condition. I also commented on the telephone system is still being used for communication with front desk while all newer hotels are using smart system, and being a 4-Star hotel as advertised I questioned the level of service shown here & services are deteriorating & happened on first night. This is nowhere close to a 4-Star services overall. I was totally disappointed.

Fantastic location with great rooms and excellent staff. Recommend the Executive rooms for more space and better amenities.

Fast check in and check out. Pleasant stay and good location near the passé de Garcia. There are restaurants around the corner. The only thing is the noise from the corridor is easily heard

Amazing location in the heart of it all. Friendly and helpful staff.

I stayed here for 5nights and my Overall experience was good. My only turn off was that it takes them time to tidy up the room. For instance I got out at 10am coming back at 5pm the room is still not tidy, about 15-20mins after I had returned you see the house keeping knocking on the door to come clean the room at 5:30. Other than this I enjoyed my stay and it was close to major places
