From the moment we walked in the door we had the most welcomed greeting and check in process. Monica helped us and they gave us a great room! I think I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get 426 but we got 417 and it’s fabulous. Read about room 426 and you’ll know why if you like ghost stories. Ironically our friends who drove up from Phoenix got room 426! And they had a story the next morning! If you like historical hotels, this is the one for you! It’s so charming. It’s not a swank ritzy hotel but it is clean, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner unit was a bit noisy when it ran. That’s literally the only complaint I have. It’s a must to ride Otis the elevator! At the elevation of Prescott some may find it essential especially if you’re staying on the 4th floor. Not to worry tho, any staff member will be happy to give you a ride in the elevator. They have live music on the patio and serve cocktails and food as well. It was a lovely way to begin our evening. We did not get a chance to eat at their restaurant but did have a wonderful coffee in the morning made by their barista and sat in the parlor feeling like we were in the 1920’s. Truly a wonderful stay. I think somebody did pay me a visit in the night and set my Apple Watch to go off at 3:00am Was it Faith? The Nightwatchman? Boo! LOL And I will end on this note, I live in Prescott and I’d go back and stay!
I have yet to complete my stay. However, felt compelled to express my utter dissatisfaction and horrible experience thus far at this hotel. First, upon entering my room I immediately noticed the carpet was not vacuumed as it had pieces of trash throughout the room. It also appears as though the carpet has never been shampooed or steamed cleaned as the carpets are extremely dingy. The bedding/linen were grossly dirty ( I have a video) to support. I went downstairs to express and show the front desk. I was offered another room, when I went to check the linen in the other room it was just as bad as my initial room. Room has two televisions and neither one worked, the iron is broken. On the third night I tried to enter my room (with dinner in hand) and key card didn’t work. I went and got a replacement and that card didn’t work either. I went back downstairs to tell front desk that my card didn’t work. The gentlemen asked for me to go up with him, I told him I wanted to eat my food first because it was already getting cold. We sat down in the lobby to eat and was immediately told we couldn’t. This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It should be considered a motel because that’s the way they operate. I would never recommend anyone stay at this place.
Ffrankt38944This is a great property just on the outskirts of Prescott. Downtown hotels can be crowded and pricey at times, so this is a wonderful alternative. About 10 minutes (or less) from downtown just off Hy 69. The property is just off the highway, but still very quiet -- and our room was on the highway side of the building. Very friendly staff and the room was spotless and spacious. Everything worked well in the room, and the beds were comfortable. One soft and one firm pillow. Breakfast was standard HIG fare, but kept hot and replenished often. Only one elevator, but did not seem to be a problem. Property is within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants, and stores -- including a Costco. All in all, great property.
