The good: It is clean. The mattress is comfortable. The TV and WiFi work. The airport is very close. The bad: The hotel is showing its age. It is more of a motel than a hotel. There is no elevator. The outdoor walkways and spiral staircases are not well-lit. The rooms are very small. The pillows are bad. No bar soap is provided, but there are soap dispensers on the wall in the bathroom, by the sink and in the bathtub. There are no washcloths, however. How does one use liquid soap with no washcloth? The ugly: The toilet. Probably not a big issue if you are alone in the room, but if there is a second person, be aware that the toilet tank requires a minimum of ten minutes to refill between flushes. When asked about it, the employees at the reception desk acknowledged this was an issue in all rooms. We would definitely look for a different option next time we have to fly out of Biarritz.
Excellent friendly service, with a great location close to the town and beach. Great air-conditioning for those hot summer nights and a cute outside deck for their home made breakfast. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for a visit to this great city.
This hotel stands proud near the lighthouse in beautiful Biarritz. We expected great things , not put off at all by the position of the hotel as we are fit and well and enjoyed the walk into town and back . We did not like our first room which was very small . To be honest I think if I was critical the hotel could do much better on their website explaining the room set up . We like a king bed which we got , but there was not enough storage space and no walking around space at all . Reception dealt with our request well and my husband checked the room an ocean suite which was lovely but after we got unpacked I realised the room was huge but the bed was a normal double . My hubby at this point refused to move again so we put up with it for the 4 days . We did pay for the upgrade . I like a hotel that explains what you get . Eg cosy room Etc which was what our first room certainly was . On to better things . The staff first and foremost were fabulous very cheery and helpful . The pool was gorgeous and we enjoyed a few hours every afternoon sitting out . Breakfast was good but not great . Would have loved a fresh cooking station for omelettes fresh eggs .. no variety the exact same every day and where were the glorious French baguettes and croissants. None in sight except tiny croissants that to be honest were not that great . We had one dinner In Frenchie restaurant which was absolutely fabulous best of stay . Finally to end the hotel is good overall but I thought it lacked a bit of atmosphere. It was quiet, piano player one night but not enough for us to stay in more than the one night . It’s a shame . Biarritz is amazing just can’t quite decide if I would stay in the Regina again.
The staffs are very helpful and friendly as well as the amenities such as spa and massage treatment. They also provided delicious Basque Foods for choices. The location is absolutely nearby the Beach that taking about few mins walking apart. I would highly recommend to people who are planning in Biarritz
We arrived Hotel Le Biarritz in the middle of the night, desperate to get a room for the night for 2 adults and 3 kids, due to our originally booked apartment hotel next door gave us cardkeys that were not activated upon arrival. The reception was closed and the telephone number in case of ”emergency” was turned off after midnight. We were warmly welcomed by a very nice man, unfortunately I do not remember his name. We got 2 rooms with a very good discount and the 3rd room for free. The children were hungry, so we asked if we could buy some snacks. He offered us pancakes. He went to the kitchen and came out with a trey full of pancakes, yoghurts, and 3 different sorts of cakes and water. He also asked if we wanted breakfast in the morning, but we were not sure we would make it in time, so he told us we can have the breakfast for free. We also had access to the pool the day after. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try it. Our rooms were small, but nice and clean. (I see from the pictures on their website that they have bigger rooms with balcony). In the morning we got breakfast while the kids were still sleeping. We then got a little basket we could bring to the room with full of croissants for the kids. If it wasn't for the already paid apartment hotel, we would have stayed in hotel Le Biarritz for the rest of our stay in Biarritz. We have never ever experienced such a nice welcoming and service in any other hotel we have stayed at before and strongly recommend this hotel for the service and location. It is located near the beach, 5 min walk. 10 min walk to the grocery store and other nice restaurant. The bus stop is also located right outside the hotel. You can also walk all the way to the city on a sidewalk right by the beach. We would definitively one back to hotel Le Biarritz.
My wife and I had a wonderful time here. The Hotel facilities are first class complemented by impeccable design. But what makes this Hotel different to any other we have stayed in (and we have travelled!) is the Team.Caring, attentive, professional and fun! I just enjoyed four nights at this wonderful hotel and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! All of the staff are absolutely charming and extremely helpful and attentive and very good listeners. They have mastered their craft and this really made all the difference. Food, coffee, pastries, and breakfast Were thoughtfully prepared with the best ingredients. I especially liked the coffee. The bed, pillows, and linen I found luxurious! The room had everything I needed to be comfortable and the thermostat for heat was easy to figure out as well. They really make it so easy for you to enjoy yourself. The bathroom was very large and had everything I needed, including a hairdryer for me traveling solo. A bit of advice, if you find yourself eating a lot at breakfast and then again at lunch and don’t want to go out for dinner, I used Uber eats and it was extremely straightforward and easy. Nice to have an option. There is a wonderful restaurant just down the street. However, all the restaurants I tried in the neighborhood were both extremely delicious and well priced. The location of this hotel could not be better. It was just a short walk down to the ocean with many shops on the way which I did several times a day. I researched a lot of hotels before booking and I’m so glad that my instincts were correct.
CCoastal66833980323We spent two nights in this hotel. It is centrally located charming old house. Prior to booking you should be aware about this. You will not have elevators, the streets around the hotel are non of the main traffic routes, but you will have some traffic noise. And you will hear some noises from your neighbours rooms due to the construction of the building. And finally, you have to park your car in the nearby public parking house (5 min walk). But the place is charming, the rooms are fairly well maintained, the air condition works perfectly, so you can close the windows while sleeping. The winter-garden is a nice place to stay, the friendly staff also serves wine etc.. and helps with reccomendation/reservations in the local restaurants. The market hall (and all the nice restaurants there) is within a 3-4 min walk. Within 5-7 mins you are at the beach. If you are willing to accept some minor compromises, this place is a clear recommendation from our side. We will definitely return.
ผผู้เข้าพักSpent 2 nights here for a short break, as we love Biarritz. It was our first visit to this hotel. It is centrally situated, making it an ideal base for exploring the town. We received a warm welcome at check-in and were delighted with our 3rd floor room. We booked a prestige room with a sea view, which was a good decision and well worth the money. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very good bed and bedding. The coffee machine was appreciated, as was the fridge stocked with complimentary soft drinks. These were topped up daily. The bathroom and separate toilet were spacious and well furnished with toiletries. Bath robes and slippers were provided. I especially loved the anti-fog mirror. The shower was powerful, with plenty of hot water. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, but did use the bar for a drink and a planche of charcuterie and cheeses, which were delicious. All staff were friendly and eager to help. I was surprised that although the hotel is classed as a monument, there is no information on its history in the rooms. To me, that is a selling point which should be well publicised. We had to check the internet for information on the background of the hotel, which is fascinating. It would be well worth printing off a page and leaving it in the rooms. Overall an excellent stay and we will definitely be returning.
We very much enjoyed our week and a half at the hotel. Very close to good beaches, excellent restaurants and shops. The hotel is in a pedestrianised square so very little traffic. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a lovely view of the sea from our room. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The decor of the hotel was very tasteful. It was also very clean. The chilled water and pastries left in the lobby each day after breakfast were a nice touch. I would happily stay at this love.y hotel again
