I wish I had taken more photos of the hotel and the. room we stayed in. the hotel has a homey and welcoming feel. the beds are very Comfortable and the water pressure is good. the decorations are designed to make you feel the seaside feeling of the island. this hotel was so clean, the daily upkeep was meticulous even with my sandy children coming in from the beach, each time we returned to the room it was spotless. the owner of the hotel went above and beyond to help us understand the bus and ferry booking, he gave the best tips on where to go and what to see. there the island itself was busy but we found the beaches empty and the children had a Wonderful time playing in the waves. I will return and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to relax.

Everything was excellent! The hotel is very stylish, well maintained, clean. All is managed with love and care, every detail. Their sunsets are famous, but in 10 minutes of walk you'll also find a place to watch sunrise. The food is very tasty, too. However, what I would like to note paticularly, is the way they treat guests. All my questions were answered immediately, and they helped me a lot with booking the ferry tickets! The boss and all others are super helpful, nice and friendly! I stayed there only one night, but they treated me as if I were their favourite guest! Pick-up and transfer in the most convenient way, continuous contact via WeChat, preparing the dinner special for me and serving it outside - everything was done to make me feeling relaxed and happy. They were always readily available, radiating warmth and friendliness, and proactively offering assistance. It felt less like a hotel stay and more like being welcomed into a cherished friend's home. The suite itself was a masterclass in modern comfort and thoughtful design. Every detail, from the sleek furnishings to the state-of-the-art amenities, was carefully curated to enhance the guest experience. The room was not only beautiful but also incredibly functional, providing all the conveniences one could desire. Breakfast at Yicheng was a culinary delight. Shengshan is definitely not an easy place to get to, but staying at Woqu honestly made it so worth it! It’s very guesthouse style, so hosts have a full menu that they can cook for you if you don’t want to go into town for the restaurants. They were all so warm and welcoming, even though my Chinese isn’t very good. Even though they had a larger group of 21 staying at the same time as me, they still checked in on me to make sure that I was comfortable and that I could still have my privacy. They also offered me the number of a driver who was very readily available to take me wherever I wanted. The room was beautiful, with a wonderful view of the ocean. It would be really romantic for a couples’ getaway. I hope that more people come to Shengshan and Gouqi, even for just a day, just so they can experience some of the island-style warmth and hospitality that Woqu had to offer. Thank you again for a wonderful getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel on Gouqi Island. The room offered a beautiful sea view, which made our stay especially relaxing and memorable. The location is also very convenient—just a short walk to a lively food street with plenty of dining options to choose from. What truly made this experience exceptional, though, was the owner’s kindness and hospitality. When we unfortunately fell ill during our stay, he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His support during that time meant a lot to us. He also kindly helped arrange transportation, which made everything much easier. To top it off, we were welcomed with a thoughtful gift at check-in, which was a lovely touch. I really can’t rate this hotel highly enough—both for the facilities and, most importantly, for the genuine care and generosity shown to us.

We got upgraded to a room with balcony. The rooms are spacious and the view was fantastic. We are vegetarians and the receptionist arranged special vegetarian dishes for us which were delicious. Also they arranged at a time suitable to us. There is a beach about 10min walking distance from the hotel but one can’t swim in the beach but a good view. Also Shang Hai Qi Guan is a 30 min walk with a fantastic view of the island from the top. Overall a great stay. We just stayed for one night.

We only stayed for one day, but it was unforgettable. The view from the window and balcony was absolutely stunning. The room was very clean and well-maintained. There's a beach right next to the hotel where you can sit and watch the sunrise — pure magic. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. A special mention goes to Tao. He helped us with everything even though we were only there for one day. Such a kind, caring, and genuinely good person. When we were leaving, he personally helped us get to the ferry — we would have been lost without him.And I can't forget the cutie pie dog! I've never seen such a sweet dog in my life. As far as I understood, he's only staying there temporarily, but he made our stay even warmer and cozier. There are also great food options nearby, and the welcome we received was so warm. We will definitely come back — and next time for more than just one day
