What a place! High up in the mountains, the views are spectacular. We woke up and kept the curtains open to see the sun shine over the mountains & really enjoyed the view when eating breakfast and dinner. Staff where excellent, especially with my little one and all food was perfect.

An amazing place to stay. A truly wonderful boutique in the mountains with stunning uninterrupted views and lovely pool. The staff led by Eranda are so friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The individually prepared food would be hard to beat anywhere in Sri Lanka. All staff try to help you plan your days if needed by suggesting routes to walk or organising transport to local sights. The rooms are large with balconies overlooking the mountains. The very large beds are lovely and comfortable with beautiful linen and fluffy pillows. The ensuite bathroom offers everything you could need. We would love to return and know we would be welcomed like returning family. Thank you also to Sonali in their office who helped me book everything accommodation and transfers so smoothly. Worth booking direct.

We had an absolutely wonderful 2 days in this stunning place. Everything was perfect from the booking experience to the service the moment we arrived. Lalith and Sanjay took care of our every need and made us feel immediately at home. Nothing was too much for them! We stayed in the Galapitagala room and Villa Ohiya as there were 5 of us. Waking up to the stunning views and sounds of the birds, greeted with a delicious breakfast and chilling in this beautiful place was the highlight of our trip. Each day we were also treated to scrumptious high tea and a 5 course dinner. Eranda the manager was away during our stay but he called me personally to make sure we had all we needed. A 5 star experience and we will definitely be back!

Everything about Capoe House is magical, the rooms, the views, the staff and the food. It is totally unique and we are so lucky to have found this special place. You are immersed in the mountains and its inhabitants, birds, butterflies, monkeys, peacocks. We spent two days here and were so sad when we had to leave. Eranda the manager is very sincere and attentive. He is hugely knowledgeable about the surrounding flora and fauna. He took us to a beautiful nearby waterfall in the hotel grounds and then gave us an hours nature presentation back at the hotel. The food is outstanding, best we ve had in Sri Lanka, beautifully presented and delicious. All of the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

An absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. Lalith and his team were incredible hosts with kind, courteous and above all friendly service. The location is stunning and peaceful. We chose a stay here over visiting Ella and so glad we did. As a small property you are so well looked after. The food was of an excellent quality and they even catered well to an allergen we provided in advance. We did a walk and waterfall visit as well. The waterfall is really beautiful and the walk offered great views (a small warning, it is a hard walk from a steepness aspect). We’ve already recommended the property to multiple friends and thank all the team there for making our stay so enjoyable.

After 2 and a half years we came to Sri Lanka to see our parents and take them out of Colombo to a place that would give them maximum time to relax and enjoy the nature. All our requirements were beyond met at this beautiful Capoe House. Amazing scenic beauty, top class accommodation, very attentive staff, and a great spread of meals with very good attention to detail. There was adventure for the young, hiking to the very beautiful waterfall that’s within the estate, lovely pool for the kids overlooking the mountains and peace and quite for my parents who wanted to sit and watch the beautiful nature unfolding in front of them. Highly recommend if you want a full package with tranquility, excitement and also to relax in one place. Madi

The Capoe House is absolutely excellent. It boasts stunning views and incredibly comfortable accommodation. It was wonderful to gaze out from the bedrooms and balconies at the views and listen to the wildlife, whilst enjoying peace and tranquility. The staff were all uniformly excellent, with fabulous food and service. We received a really warm welcome from the start and the hospitality never wavered. The chef is at the start of what we are all sure will be a wonderful career, as everything he cooked was incredibly tasty and well-presented. We had several courses for breakfast, lunch and dinner - so much food! It was some of the best cuisine we had in Sri Lanka, whether Sri Lankan or international in style. The manager, Eranda, has a superb knowledge of the local wildlife and is an amazing photographer to boot. I can't recommend the Capoe House highly enough and we all want to return.

The Capoe House was utterly incredible. From the welcome we received from the staff to the food we were served at each meal, everything was fantastic. Lalite made us feel incredibly welcome, taking us to the waterfall, hiking and doing everything else in between. The chefs were kind enough to show us how to make a few different curries, including a delicious black pork curry. The room was beautiful with the most picturesque view and the comfiest bed we've stayed in. Overall the two nights that we spent at the Capoe House were incredibly memorable and we will hope to come back as soon as we can!
