Our stay was very comfortable, the hotel is absolutely beautiful! The service was ok, as some of the staff were not very welcoming. Those standing at the door (the first face visitors see) stand in a staunch, serious manner, and do not even offer a greeting, smile, nod, nothing. You are not even acknowledged. I guess it depends on who you are. The front desk workers were always pleasant and attended to questions/ requests with a smile. My family and I enjoyed the food at the Nest restaurant, as we ate there several times during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed Signia by Hilton. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was being made to feel that we were not welcomed.
Very bad hotel to be a luxury Marriott. The corridors are dirty we find socks and pampers in floor 19. The elevators work poorly. They take a long time and you have to go up to be able to go down. There is no body wash in the two rooms we have. Too many people. Oversaturated. The room they gave us was occupied. They changed us to another one and it was in someone else’s name so we had to go down to the counter again.

The poor rating is for the Valet- day and night. This hotel is very nice . Classy rooms and beautiful views of Atlanta but I cannot say anything satisfactory about the Valet parking . On the first night the guys marked up the inside of our leather car door panel and next day our car had a HUGE SPILL OF CHICKEN GREASE all over the hood , windows, doors and trunk of the car. Yes, you read that correct: STICKY AND SLIPPERY grease. They attendants were suppose to wash the car , which we waited in the lobby for them to do but that did not happen. We had to take it to the car wash . My boyfriend filed a complaint about both issues which neither have been resolved . It's been over a week since this happened. Do not have your car parked with their valet. Very disappointing
SSSB1016This is the former W Buckhead hotel. It’s not as old as other hotels in the area but doesn’t seem to be as well taken care of. They have some sort of staffing shortage. I’m not sure if the fired staff or didn’t replace them after the pandemic but it’s very evident in the service and upkeep of the hotel. The air condition in the room went out daily during my three night stay. The unit displayed that the filter needed to be replaced. Maintenance would just come in, vacuum the furnace and leave. It would work for about 12 hours before it went out again. This was during a heat wave in Atlanta and the temperature outside was over 100. The front desk didn’t even seem to care that the rooms were unbearable. Ideally a nice dip in the pool would have been nice on such a hot June weekend. However the tiny pool was full of bugs and needed to be cleaned. I only needed to have breakfast once to find out it was a bad idea. The food at the Sister Restaurant was horrible. The omelet tasted like an ingredient was spoiled. The eggs were already cracked and in a bowl on the counter. The server was nice. Things got even worse when I checked out. The hotel system was down so they needed to send the receipt after I left. When I received the receipt there were a multitude of charges for the bar that were not mine. The hotel staff never answers the phone and refused to respond to my multiple emails. I eventually had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. The faulty AC, dirty pool, and excess charges made me regret giving this place a chance.
RRonald BI arrived at Sonesta later in the evening after searching for a location that met my primary goals of being safe, proximity of the stores and services immediately surrouning it, and customer service of the staff because it always carries over into the cleanliness of the facility. The young lady working the desk (Shae) was very helpful and made my check-in process a breeze, she provided me her best reccomendations and infomration on the food locations immediately around the location, offered my options on floor of my choice for my room selection and even provided me information on the events within the city that night and the rest of the weekend, she alone made staying here feel safe and like home which refreshing and a comfort when travelling alone as I was. The beds were super comfortable and the oversized lounging couch that folds out into a sofa-bed gave me an in-suite feel though it was just a standard hotel room. The locations is right next to the interstate and in great proximity to the major attractions (world of coke, aquarium, NFL/MLS stadium and more) thank you Shae and Sonesta for a great stay!
We booked two nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. Checkin was ok, and the lobby was clean enough. The front desk clerk was friendly. Our room was decent. Not really dirty, but not sparkling by any stretch of the imagination. The first night was acceptable. The second night, some ignorant woman across the hall started banging on the door to her room and yelling for whoever was in there to let her in. Apparently the person was either passed out or something. This went on for a couple of hours. We called the front desk at least twice, and all they did was to tell us that the girl was locked out of her room and that they could move us to a different room. Wait, what? Why should I have to move when someone else is creating the disturbance? At any rate, eventually maintenance came up and spent at least 30 minutes drilling the door, I assume, to get this person into the room. They kept opening and closing the door (not even remotely trying to be quiet), apparently to see if the latch was working or something. It was ridiculous, and a terrible way to treat customers. As someone else mentioned, there was a strong odor of **** in the elevators and halls. I know that's difficult to prevent, but c'mon. I talked to a manager today, and supposedly I'm going to see points added to my IHG account. They refused to refund that night's stay. We'll see what happens, but I certainly won't go back to this location.
When we arrived there was a sign that there was a $150 incidental charge. It said nothing about it on the website when I booked. The room was only $80 for the night, so it made no sense, but we had no choice but to agree. When the person checking us in, Bindu, took my credit card she handed us a QR code that went a Google review, and asked us to post a 5 star review before we ever checked in, and to include her name in it, then show her. She made us feel like she wouldn’t let us check in without doing the 5 star review first. I even asked if we had to do it right then, or after our stay. She said “Right now, and show me”. I felt completely uncomfortable, and felt like I had no choice but to do it. It was 11pm, and we just wanted to check in and go to sleep. I travel often, and have never experienced this at a hotel before. I understood why when I saw the rest of the hotel. It is old, run down, and absolutely filthy! Our room 2219, was absolutely disgusting. It had burns and stains all over the carpet. The window shades had holes in them, and stains. The ceiling was cracking. The chair in the room was so dirty and worn it looked like they picked it up from a landfill. The pillow case had a hole in it. My husband literally slept in his clothes on top of the sheet, and I would not touch the floor without shoes on. The main halls smelled like cigarettes, and the carpet had stains all over it. There was painting that had been done, but very poorly to try to cover up some issues that only made them more obvious in the halls, and our room. The most concerning part is that we felt forced to post a fake review by the staff to be allowed to check in. Stay far away from these con artists, and this filthy dilapidated hotel.
