Castello di Leonina Adults Only

La location è mozzafiato, completamente immerso nella natura e su una collina. Il castello molto bello, anche l’arredamento tipico e le sistemazioni sono accoglienti. La spa mi ha un po’ deluso, non valeva la pena pagare 10€ a persona ma la colazione era buonissima e ricca! Nel complesso il rapporto qualità prezzo è giusto. Le ragazze alla reception poi sono state carinissime, avevo dimenticato una collana e me l’hanno ritrovata è custodita fino al mio ritorno per recuperarla.

This is a nice place away from the crowds. You are surrounded by hills which makes for beautiful scenery. Siena is about a 25 minute curvy drive if you do not choose to eat at their restaurant. Extracurricular activities are limited to the pool. The room was spacious but the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool in the 95 degree weather making it somewhat uncomfortable at night. This is a good location for relaxing and quiet.

We stayed at the Castello di Relais in early September. To start off, the Hotel itself is a very interesting old building (like a castle) and the view you have atop the hill is fantastic. Getting to the Hotel requires you to drive up a dirt/gravel road, which is doable though. We booked a deluxe room (it was called Drago) and the room was decent, however, be aware that due to the old building there isn‘t a lot of natural light coming into the room. The bathroom was equipped with a hairdryer and also a cosmetic mirror. But all the things seemed old and could use a reinvestment. Also the shower was quite small and had some whitewhash on it. The staff at check in was friendly but seemed a little bit confused with our booking, but this could also have been due to the language barrier. The English of the staff is okay but they do prefer to speak Italian. We booked a romantic holiday package which included a dinner, a massage and one hour exclusive access to the spa. The massage was good and enjoyable. However, the Spa hour was an overstatement. Even though there is a Sauna and a steam room as well as an „emotional rainbow shower“ it wasn‘t such a great experience. The steam room was out of service and the sauna quite small (we weren’t able to both lay down so one person had to sit and the other one could lay down). The shower was also a bit of a let down as we couldn‘t adjust either the lighting or the temperature of the water. Furthermore most of the shower had quite a lot of whitewash. Furthermore there is also a room to relax, however this is also a bit small and features just two „outdoor“ lounge chairs and some tea and water. While the Spa wasn’t such a great experience, the dinner was outstanding. The food was exceptional and the staff friendly. Breakfast was also fine and even though the selection isn‘t too big it features a lot of Italian pastries and good coffee. All in all, the hotel is good but we felt it did not always live up to the luxury impression it provides online. The only things that made it really stand out were the view (which can also be had on the surrounding hills also accessible with a car) and the food (dinner is also available for non-hotel guests if you reserve in the restaurant).

Siamo un gruppo di amici attempato e abbiamo prenotato il pacchetto che comprendeva il cenone dell'ultimo dell'anno. Siamo rimasti tutti entusiasti a dir poco! Bellissima struttura in un castello del 1200. Cucina eccezionale sia le cene normali che il "cenone"! Una colazione con un'offerta e una qualità veramente ottime. E poi il personale tutto, di una gentilezza e cortesia come raramente accade di trovare!

Bella struttura accogliente e molto famigliare. Un servizio impeccabile ed il ristorante la terrazza oltre ad essere buonissimo ha una vista spettacolare abbiamo utilizzato la spa privata prenotando la con anticipo ed abbiamo fatto una passeggiata immersi negli spettacolari paesaggi circostanti. Cibo e vino di alta qualità

È stata una settimana bellissima nonostante non abbiamo avuto il bel tempo dalla nostra parte il contorno di questo meraviglioso posto una cartolina dipinta...ogni luogo visitato..e il castello be' una favola. .dal panorama alla sala delle feste dove la colazione era da re☺️alle cene con un servizio davvero top...Grazie a tutti ma proprio tutti dalla sig Tina che ci ha sorpreso con una camera ancora più bella da quella da noi prenotata a Stefano e Carola ( non ricordo tutti i nomi) ma non escludo nessuno e la signora dei massaggi Catia se ricordo bene che dire massaggiatrice è nullo...la sua essenza passa attraverso le sue mani..grazie davvero. Ci siamo sempre trovati a viaggiare, cercando di soggiornare in strutture dove potessimo sentirci bene, a nostro agio, nella tranquillità e nel rispetto dell’ ospite e poche volte ci siamo sentiti così come nel Castello di Leonina! È stata una bellissima scoperta. La posizione meravigliosa con vista sulle colline senesi, la camera ampia, pulita, chiaramente con arredo che rispecchia il tema della struttura e cioè un castello! Ottima colazione, il personale gentilissimo e non per dovere ma, si percepisce, per amore verso il proprio lavoro. Nel ristorante, a pochissimi metri fuori dalla reception, abbiamo cenato benissimo, ottimo chef e tutto lo staff. E poi c’è una chicca, che consiglio a tutti, fare un massaggio con Catia, che peraltro, non è un semplice massaggio ma una grande emozione!!!
