Faern Arosa Altein

Charming and well-maintained hotel! It’s well-located, just 5-10 minutes on foot from the Arosa station. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The 10 AM checkout is somewhat early, but the reception was accommodating enough to allow us a later departure. Both the food and breakfast are exceptional, offering great quality and a wide variety.

Positive : - clean and nice hotel - good breakfast - friendly staff in the bar and restaurant Negative : - expensive parking - food came way too fast at diner - when arriving, 1 person at the reception was unfriendly - too many people in swimming pool and sauna, not relaxing - small rooms without closets - expensive drinks at the bar - food was very average - salad bar was great but only once a week

Excellent week spent at the Faern Altein. High standards throughout with excellent rooms, restaurants and bar. Close to lifts and bus stop the slopes are never more than 10 minutes away. Shout out to Maria and Sebastian in the restaurant who done a great job. Look forward to returning.

Great family friendly hotel with a large heatet pool and spa area - the pool is great for children with jacuzzi, water fountain and also a relax room with amazing views out on the Arosa mountains. Perfect for a bad weather day or after being on the slopes. I also loved the vintage ski themed pictures on the walls and art deco design throughout the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. Breakfast was very nicely displayed for me there could be more regional ( Graubünden) specialities such as Bündnerfleisch, an cheeses from the region and not from Wallis. The scrambled eggs were too salty and although they had a lovely tea brand sirocco, my favourite tea - chai (which sirocco also has ) was missing. Especially a spiced chai tea with milk during winter months ist the best. In the stairway there was an awful cold light like in a warehouse which should be replaced with a warmer lighting - also a nice glass chandelier would add a nice touch of glamour to the hotel. Lastly we had one dinner in the restaurant on the fifth floor - the food was ok - l had the shrimp pasta ( with like 3 shrimps in the whole dish) which l found a bit stingy and my husband had a sadly very boring very dry mixed salad with a bland Haussauce - salad dressing. The carrot shavings very very dry, some canned corn and bitter cut salad. For the price CHF 12.- it was not good and very boring - felt like a canteen salad...it could be so much better with lamb salad, beet root cubes, herbs and nuts thrown in with a zesty salad dressing. The rooms were very spacious and clean with comfortable beds and lovely views. The positives of this hotel clearly outweigh the negatives and we will return back to this hotel in future. Overall, a lovely stay with its friendly staff, great location and mountain views and an amazing heated pool. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

We really enjoyed our stay. Two adjoining rooms for a family of five. A short walk to the ski lift, and we kept the ski equipment in the lockers next to the lift. Dinner (half board) was good quality and varied, and the fondue option was enjoyable. The children enjoyed the pool area. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant (Maria!) and the pastry chef (Rosario) made some great desserts for the dessert buffet. Two small negatives were that housekeeping arrived early on several days so they were there when we returned from breakfast and wanted to gear up for skiing. Also it seemed ungenerous to charge for in-room coffee capsules beyond the first day. Otherwise excellent, thank you Faern Arosa Altein!

The room was nice and clean. I think all the rooms have a great view. The location of the hotel is very convenient - 8 minutes walking from the train station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant on the 5th floor with a very nice view. You definitely need to check it out. The food was really good. There is not a lot of room for luggage in the rooms (no wardrobe) but that was not a problem for us as we only stayed one night.

Perfection all the way, felt like a queen! Thank you from Reception Staff to Spa Staff for their welcome. The Breakfast Bar had a wide range for for all Diets. The Eggs were done to perfection and a nice choice of Juices on hand. Thank you and will be back!!

Welcoming was perfect. Room and Spa are very good. I recommend it to everyone going to Arosa. Breakfast was very good. Parking is perfect as well. Hotel is next to the ski lift is very perfect for going by feet. The view from the room was just amazing

It is a beautifully renovated hotel in a retro Alpin but modern style. Beautiful view from the room with balcony. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Ski lifts within walking distance. Wifi was rather slow and unstable. No daily refills of coffee capsules in the room (Need to buy them at the reception). So bring your own coffee!!
