Warm greetings from Germany! This was my fourth visit to Grecotel Caramel Boutique Hotel, and as always we had a wonderful time there! The resort has a magical atmosphere and a very beautiful setting, full of different flowers and plants as well as a gorgeous beach. A perfect place to relax and enjoy! But what makes this hotel so special is the pleasent team✨ I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for ensuring that my stay was delightful and comfortable! A special commendation to Mr. Alex from the a la carte restaurant. Together with his stellar team, they truly exceeded expectations. The culinary delights, from main courses to desserts and drinks, were not only of the highest quality but also tantalizingly delicious and beautifully presented. Every evening I enjoyed great food, live music, and a lovely service. My warmest appreciation goes out to the entire staff! Their kindness, efficiency, hospitality and genuine warmth contributed immensely to the overall experience! Lovely greetings and a thank you to the beautiful ladies with sweet hearts: Soula, Litsa, Konstantina, Maria, and the gentlemen: Oggy, Grigorios, Dimitri, Arbri, and of course everybody else!!! And a thanks to the lovely reception team who always tried to make our stay even better! I must particularly highlight the remarkable service provided by sweet Persa. Her unparalleled professionalism, combined with her genuine sensitivity, made a lasting impression. We had an enjoyable stay in the Creta Marine in mid-October. Hotel 4/5 - We found the hotel to be generally very nice, it's big and the grounds merge seamlessly with the next door Iberostar Panorama hotel, giving it an even bigger feel. There's a mixture of large apartment blocks and a really nice village feel to the various Bungalows, helped by the well manicured grounds throughout. That said although some of the hotel has been modernised, some areas feel a little tired, the main pool area, and the gym in particular were a let down. We arrived late (thanks EasyJet), so check-in was a breeze, but there weren't any refreshments available, which would have been nice given we'd missed dinner. Location 4/5 - situated in a remote part of the island, there's nothing nearby other than a small shop, and the transfer time (coach) was ~2 hours from Chania Airport. However, it's in a really beautiful spot with multiple private protected coves/beaches, ideal for swimming/snorkeling. Rooms 3/5 - we stayed in the Bungalows, which are situated in a great location, especially the Waterfront ones, although the decor and bathrooms are in need of a total refresh. You do get a free mini bar, with beer, water, soft drinks and a bottle of red wine, which was nice, but this isn't refreshed. Food/Drink 4/5 - We found the food to be generally very tasty with plenty of choices. The drinks were good too, mainly local brands although some international brands were available on All Inclusive, and others at a charge. That said, a major downside was even when you asked for an international brand (e.g. Bacardi), the bar staff would more often than not substitute it for a local brand, which was disappointing, as it felt like you had to argue for what you wanted every time! Entertainment 4/5 - The poolside team worked really hard, and although we didn't get too involved, everyone that did seemed to have fun. We mainly stayed in the Bar area in the evening, and there was some really good singers/bands, more of that please! Guests 3/5 - The guests on the whole were pleasant, with ~90% being German when we stayed, and the rest made up of English/French/Portuguese/Danish etc, which was fine for us, maybe not if you have kids? However, there were multiple occasions of rudeness, pushing in and generally selfish behaviour from some of the older German guests, which was a shame, clearly not the Hotels fault at all - but something to expect/be aware of if booking this hotel. Conclusion 4/5 - Would we go back? Absolutely, we loved our stay, and I expect most of the improvement areas I've highlighted can/will be addressed by the hotel.

Amazing! Everything was lovely from start to finish. The staff were so lovely- very helpful and accommodating, and the rooms were lovely and clean. The food buffets were decent, especially compared to some all inclusive hotels, and always left you satisfied and full. We also booked on with the on site restaurant (which is included in the all inclusive) and I would rate it an 8/10. Although we never went to any shows, the animation team that stayed round the pool were hilarious and always made the time to talk to you and wish you a good morning. There are 3 different pools (one with a swim-up bar) you can go to and we never struggled to get a sunbed (however, we did go at the end of October) and there are lots of facilities and activities onsite to keep you entertained. There is a little private beach for the hotel occupants with a bar to accompany (however this bar is not included with the all inclusive). There is also water sports down the road who were also very nice and we managed to rent our own private boat for an hour for €75. I would also recommend the Little Train Tours with Michalis. We enjoyed every second with him and did both tours we liked it that much! All in all I would 100% recommend this hotel! The only thing that knocked it down for me was the safe was €3 a night and this was not stated when we booked- especially when we got an unexpected tourist tax on arrival too. Also, even though we did get a view of the sea (slightly) this was covered mostly by trees so little hit disappointing that we paid extra for this. It should have been advertised as sea facing.
