Begeti Bay Hotel

This hotel has the friendliest staff of any hotel I have stayed at. We stayed here as it was coming to the end of season, so there were very few other people. The staff were attentive and made an effort to remember each person. A few minor things let this hotel down for us. The lemonade/coke from the all inclusive bar was flat a lot of the time. The location of the hotel was quite far away from any nightlife and while we were there, there was no entertainment, although we were coming to the end of season. The beach bar was not part of the all inclusive and you had to pay extra. This was also closed for our trip. My partner and I aren't big partiers/drinkers so the quiet was actually very welcome for us. We hired a car from a short walk down the road and drove all over crete. The food had a large selection to begin with but this again thinned out as less and less people were staying at the hotel. If you are looking for a quiet, calm holiday with amazing staff, I would recommend this hotel!

It’s a marvellous place 👍 , near to the beach, the Swimmingpool is quite big! All collaborators👩‍🍳🧚🏾‍♂️🙋‍♀️are so nice , so professional and are looking just forward to our well-being! Nice family run hotel with very friendly people.Hotel had this great small community feeling.Equipped with swimming pool ,lounge area to relax and beautiful view on the sea.Treat this hotel as great base to go see around like Rythmos just 12 min away by car or bus .We didn’t try but was aware of small gym area and tennis court.Nice drinks and food was OK but don’t expect the 5 star 2k pounds per person hotel .Its just nice chilling feel hotel with things around to see and do .Thank you for great time .

What a FANTASTIC holiday we had. The experience from start to finish was amazing. We arrived early hours in the morning to a very friendly welcome. ( Thank you George). We were each given a plate of delicious food which had been very kindly prepared for us. This hotel is so hospitable and the owners and manager are always around and are very friendly and helpful. Evagelia is the most welcoming, friendly lady who assists at not only meal times but any time she is around and always has a lovely smile. Andy the barman is charming, friendly and I can say you couldn’t ask for anyone better. The hotel is super clean and very accommodating for anything you need. Food is very good and lots of variety. Top chef and kitchen staff. The location is in a lovely area and the sunset is one of the best I have ever seen. What more can you ask for than a friendly hug from the owners and also to be around to socialise with all hotel guests. Thank you for having us we will see you again. CHRISTODOULOS & JANE

Myself and my Mammy enjoyed a week at the lovely Bageti Bay Hotel. It was very clean, great amenities, right beside the beach, 5 minute walk to a bus stop that would take you to Rethymno or Panormos. The food was delicious, all fresh salads and traditional greek food as well as other food that would cater for children or people with a more restrictive diet. The location is perfect in a beautiful secluded part of Rethymno with the most incredible sunset and moon rise. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, especially Vaggelis, who was the most cheerful and attentive bar man, he made us feel right at home. Thank you Vaggelis!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning and sending friends and family too. 😄

Lovely small hotel, with friendly helpful staff who are always happy to help or have a chat. A little bit secluded but a cheap €1.60 will get you into rethymno on the bus where it is quite busy with lots of bars, shops & restaurants. Pros. 👍 Food is nice Hotel very clean, rooms basic but comfortable. Staff very friendly Shop in hotel very reasonably priced. Pool is nice Beach very close to the property The views of the Sunset from the hotel's patio are amazing. Cons: 😔 The Hotel is quite secluded not much around other than a few shops & 1 taverna ( ideally need a car or use buses or taxis) The food although it was nice got very repetitive, it was pretty much the same everyday. The all inclusive drinks bar closes at 10 pm each night but you could go to the hotel's bar facing the beach and pay for drinks. The Drinks in the all inclusive not very good, beer watered down, cocktails were out of a machine that pre-mixed them and soft drinks lacked any fizz. Conclusion: really nice comfortable hotel that is very friendly & welcoming but cuts a few corners here and there but it didn't ruin our holiday...just put it down to experience for any future visits to Crete. Glad we came

Brilliant all inclusive hotel, quiet location, a bit out of the way but this seemed to encourage guests who were friendly and decent. Amazing staff team; everyone deserves a mention from housekeeping, kitchen, dining room, bars, pool, reception and shop! We've always had great hosts in Greece, but Begeti Bay and their staff are outstanding and make your stay extra special. Everything is clean and tidy. Food was great, lots of Greek choices but catering for everyone else too. Rooms aren't luxurious, typically Greek, but lovely bathroom, nice little balcony and aircon. Building work as mentioned in reviews is really not an issue- barely heard it, was interesting to see them building a harbour! Would happily come again.

We really loved this hotel! Still feel relaxed a week later. Room: Loved the balcony space. Stayed on the side facing the garden, side sea view was still lots of the ocean (and their home grown veg garden), and had beautiful sunsets. The bed was super comfortable, rooms cleaned everyday if you want them to be, complimentary wine and snacks waiting in there when we arrived - thank you! Food: Delicious, authentic and local. Lots of variety and changes each day. Drinks: Not the strongest, but the beer and wine was really good! And the beach bar has excellent drinks (not all inclusive). Staff: The kindest hotel staff we’ve ever experienced - nothing was too much trouble, and always smiling. Pool: Really nice area, always a sun bed free - great options for shade and sun. I love the pool bar area - and the bar staff were kind and chatty to us, always! Beach: A bit rocky but there are sandy beaches nearby, best of everything. We had the best time, thank you. Will definitely be coming back for a week (or two) next year. Thanks again
