Maria's Garden Apartments

Being very near to the top of a steep and winding road could be seen as a disadvantage but in reality should be seen as a real benefit. It's elevated position provides great views and a very quiet locale. We arrived at around 11.30 pm and were met by a cheery team covering the bar and reception. They provided us with a refreshing glass of lemon juice and then carried our bags to our room before we returned to the bar for a late night beer. The apartments are clean and well equipped, the grounds very well kept, the pool very inviting, plenty of comfortable sun loungers and parasols, and to top it all the staff were brilliant. They all spoke excellent English and were bright and cheery throughout our stay. Our room was regularly serviced and kept well supplied with clean towels and bed linen. Check out is 10am but we were able to spend the day by the pool and there are shower and changing facilities provided so you can freshen up before your flight home. One of the supermarkets at the bottom of the hill will deliver your food for free to the apartments if you spend (I believe) 20 euros. Instead of walking up and down the steep road we were directed to a dirt track which leads to the Logos Bar which is roughly half way up/down the hill. A path through the middle of the bar takes you down to the main road and this is an easier way up and down the hill. Stopping off for a refreshment breaks up the ascent (and descent) nicely. Alternatively 7 euros will get you a taxi back up the hill. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stunning views, food was delicious every single time. The bar staff friendly and accommodating. Bar price reasonable. Food prices affordable €3.50 for ham and cheese toastie. Will definitely be coming back. Hubby was impressed with the frozen glasses for his beers.

my second visit to the Olive Garden where I received such a lovely welcome. George, Denise and Anna were so helpful and nothing was a bother to them First class food and we ate many many times at the Olive Garden as food is so good. Apartments first class and kept so clean by the lovely ladies We spent time also at the pool which is spotless and well maintained and lots of sunbeds to use I will definitely try and return this September/October :)

Fabulous experience. It was our first time in Kefalonia and what an amazing time we had . From the minute we arrived Denise and George could not have been more welcoming . Nothing was too much trouble and by the time we left we felt like part of the family . We’re planning to hopefully return later this year and definitely next year . Food and drink was excellent , the accommodation was clean and comfortable and the pool area was great , with plenty of sun beds . The views from the terrace were amazing . The hill was a bit of a killer to walk up but if we felt too tired to tackle it there were normally taxis waiting at the bottom . Can’t wait to return

Nothing was too much trouble. George and Denise really looked after me. The food is gorgeous and the cocktails are delicious too. My apartment was clean and well maintained with the housekeeping visiting regularly. I travelled alone and felt incredibly safe. Met some nice people too.

Just returned from an amazing week at the Olive Garden Apartments, from the moment of arrival the staff could not do enough for you, the friendliness of Denice, George and Anna who run the bar and food was excellent. Owner Bill was always around in the especially in the evening ensuring all was good, closely followed by Paco (Bills dog) who always had a tail wag for you and the opportunity to give him a tummy rub. The apartments were spotless and the pool and bar area had a very chilled feeling making it a perfect place to relax for the week. The location is at the top of a hill, and as others have said it is a climb, but if you have a very base level of fitness it’s no problem, alternatively there are taxis at the bottom of the hill waiting to take you up. Amazing views at sunset. We would return here in a minute.

Visited Olive Garden to celebrate our son finishing his GCSEs. Apartments are basic but immaculately clean with very comfortable beds. George, Denise and Anna are perfect hosts and bend over backwards to please. Their parents Miranda and Biĺl keep behind the scenes running like clockwork with owner Bill and Paco the gorgeous dog lòking out for everyone. Best views in Lassi from the pool area and Georges cooking is to die for. The hill is a killer for the less mobile of us but taxis are very easy to get. Highly recommend!

My wife and I couldn’t recommend the Olive Garden apartments enough. 15 mins from the airport and set on a hillside above the main town of Lassi meaning the views over the bay are absolutely amazing. The complex itself is compact and well laid out with lovely bar/ eating and pool areas as well as having beautifully tended lawns and colourful plants on view. The apartment we were in, No 24 was very comfortable and very clean with everything you could need to be self catering. We catered ourselves for our breakfasts each day but ate each evening in the complex, the food we ate was plentiful, beautifully prepared and very fresh and tasty. Denise and George who run the bar and restaurant are absolutely fantastic as are all of the other staff who work so hard tending to guests, nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Many reviews mention the ‘Hill’ upto the complex, we walked down it a few times when going to the beach and then back up it again on our way back, it is not an overly long walk but it is steep in parts. It took us 5 mins to walk down it and around 10 mins to walk back up it at a steady pace. If you are looking to visit Kefalonia then check out the Olive Garden Appartments, you will not be disappointed.

Olive Garden in lassi are stunning, the 1 bedroom apartment was basic but super clean and had everything you need for a self catering holiday, a cat arrived on our first day which we named Marley and fed him for a week for less than 5 Euros, the views are absolutely stunning from the morning until watching the sunset. The gardens and pool area are beautiful, it's a pretty quiet complex, mainly couples, the pool bar does food which didn't disappoint, Denise and George run the show along with George's sister Anna who all work so hard but always have time to chat, George put together a Greek picnic and wine for us which we took to the beach one evening. The windy hill took around 7 minutes to walk down and 9 minutes to walk back up, we're in our fifties and reasonably fit and it wasn't a problem walking back up. Taxis are waiting at the bottom if you prefer. Turn right at the bottom of the hill and 200 metres along is the best priced supermarket in lassi with a lovely man running the shop. There are a couple of lovely beaches and further along tiny sandy coves and caves . Some lovely restaurants, definitely check out Butlers house, Sitarki and Blue Sky, yummy ! Our first time in Lassi and would definitely visit again and highly recommend Olive Garden.
