Hotel Posada Don Valentino

It was excelente , love the location , super clean and personal very attentive ! I Will recomendo 100%

We had used this same hotel for four stays, each for three weeks at a time. Up until this visit we were quite satisfied with Posada Don Valentino. On our last visit (2023) the room had a fridge, two bedside lamps, two lights in the bathroom, a table, plus the hotel offered a laundry service, and free coffee. This time, no fridge, no lamps, one light in the bathroom, no table, no laundry service and no free coffee! (BTW...this is the same room) If it was not for the friendly, helpful staff, we would have been very disappointed! At most hotels we have stayed in around the world, the hotel bill is paid at the end of the stay. Despite having paid 50% of the three week stay ahead of time, from day one we were constantly being asked when we were going to pay the balance. To pay with a credit card...we were told there would be a 10% surcharge! Yes there is a open-air patio.....you just have to share it with the hotel's laundry! And no...there are no umbrellas.

First of all, the from desk staff not really friendly, i been trying to check in for over 40 minutes and not any good help from them, once ii got my room, very small, and the shower was broken, water was dripping al night long and they couldnt fix it even i told them. A little disapointed.

Great location, and comfortable beds. The place is clean and the view from the balcony is beautiful. Stafd could be friendler.

Room was small and had a lot of mould. The bathroom was basic, with no hot water, leaky at night and also had a lot of mould. We had a window that opened into the hallway and staff were not very helpful. Kitchen was minimal. This place is desperate for a little love.

My room had mold and mildrew growth above one bed and on the side of the other bed on the wall. The bathroom was covered in it. There was no circulation of air despite there being a cieling fan. I informed staff about it and I was told that all i could do was contact the corporate office. I did so and they were not any help. They responded late with an email inforning me that my concerns had been forwarded to another depar**ent.

We have been using this hotel for the past 10 years when we come to do missions work in Guatemala, but this past two years, the hotel is in a down spiral, no hot water sometimes no water rooms would mold, overall a very disappointing experience this year, if you’d like to be comfortable, look somewhere else

Good for budget stay in Antigua. Walkable to all nearby attractions. Problems with hot water to shower was never resolved, but we were offered a different room to shower.

We stayed there for 2 nights and had the amazing chance of being upgraded to a suite for one night at no extra cost. Amazing comfort, warm shower, devoted employees, clean rooms. Well equiped kitchen.
