Tivoli Alvor

Excelente estadia.

Just leaving this beautiful hotel, rooms very comfortable and spacious. We had ground floor room which had a lovely garden with sun loungers. Buffet restaurant had plenty of choice just wish food could have been a bit warmer. Italian and Grill restaurants both very good. 5 minute train ride to Alvor which picks you up at hotel runs every hour. Beautiful fishing village just visits were ruined by the rain. My son who is 11 was a bit bored think they could do more activities around the pool maybe they do in the summer months. Not sure! Overall lovely place

We visited here before Tivoli took over in 2022. We have stayed at Tivoli hotels before so we were excited to see what changes had been made, not that it needed any. Well, what a disappoin**ent, changes have happened however all have been derogatory to our stay. The food for starters, we raved about the food on our previous stay but it was poor to say the least this time around. Monotonous cold food churned out every day, often late and understaffed leading to long queues reminiscent of 1970’s Pontins. You do have options, if you want to book one of the a la carte restaurants you can stand in the queue for over an hour because you can’t book in advance of 2 days.This used to be an easy automated process but sadly not anymore. Previously kids could go and get themselves soft drinks but not anymore, again you have to queue at the understaffed main bar area. People reserving sun loungers but not actually using them but returning 5 hours later. This place used to be a little bit of paradise, if I was you I would avoid at cost !!!!

Lovely hotel, would return. Very helpful staff. Relaxed a**osphere. Spacious, comfortable, very clean, well equipped rooms. Great swimming pools, especially the very large kids pool and the adults only pool. First time on an all inclusive package, very impressed by quality, variety and availability of food in all restaurants.

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. Helpful staff across the resort. Apar**ent is spotless with daily cleaning. Pools and service are excellent. The unfortunate disappointing areas are: 1. Food in restaurants has minimal choice and is cold. Huge lovely restaurant environment and great staff but disappointed with lack of show cooking and choice. Mostly salad stuff (same at lunch and dinner) with basic canteen like trays of just warm food. Not much choice for kiddies. 3. Can book alternative restaurants at 1pm onwards. If you snooze you lose. However, did not enjoy Roastic, poor choice of food, salad stuff again for starter (same as lunch) and what should have been hot starter was cold! Selection of chicken or fish would be nice with options for how it’s served, Rotisserie wasn’t on, would have been good to see lovely roasting chickens. At lunch was a lovely smelling BBQ but food on offer was again poor. Try chicken kebabs, sausage, fish etc 2. No adult lounge bar type area to sit at night. No entertainment for adults. One area for families with children but nowhere open for adults to relax and enjoy a drink. Other guests also complained of this too. I heard guests saying they hang around drinking in the restaurants! Shame. 3. Adult pool lovely however no quiet background music, lack of a**osphere. Maybe have an aqua aerobic session. Other ‘fun’ activities would be nice.

Great family trip - went with our 2yo who was kept entertained with the kids pool and playground. The hotel has great facilities, is in a great location (the beach nearby is beautiful), and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. The only thing that let down our stay was the delayed start to the transfer to the hotel and then a very drawn out transfer.

We visited Tivoli Alvor for the second time in May 2024 as a family with a toddler. I wanted to say thank you to the staff for making our holiday perfect. Very visited in September 2023 and both time were wonderful. Staff are wonderful and go the extra mile make your stay special. The hotel itself is beautiful and has something for everyone. The adults only area is tranquil with more going on for families at the main pools or children’s pool for entertainment, but still felt relaxed. May and September were perfect times for us in Alvor with the resort not being too busy and the weather being sunny and warm but not too hot. Food was lovely with lots of options. The rooms are lovely and modern. There is a lovely walk from the hotel over the bridge to the beach which is away from any roads or traffic. Alvor is a great base to explore the Algarve more broadly with so much to do. We hired a car so made use of the free parking at the hotel which made exploring and transfers to the airport easy. Thank you so much again to all staff at Tivoli Alvor for making our holiday wonderful and relaxing.

Very Nice resort ! Great for kids! Big thank you to Karla at the main restaurant for the welcome and the soup for the baby every morning! All employees were very kind with us and our son! And all spoke a perfect english, very easy to communicate Food was good and changed everyday A great stay!

Brilliant staff. Staff are friendly and helpful JOSI! In the buffet restaurant was a STAR!!!!!! She’s friendly and funny and very kind! The place was clean. Service was great. Happy overall. Italian was great and generous too. I found that the drinks were great quality too
