We stayed at this hotel at 3 occasions between February and March 2024 and it is a good hotel for a short stay. Rooms, amenities, breakfast, ..., all very enjoyable. I would especially like to mention the front desk clerk Andrey Gomez who was very professional and attentive, with a 'let's solve the problem' attitude. This can not be said about our shuttle driver. We needed a shuttle to the airport (outside the hours when it is free) and the driver was late and upped the pre-arranged price en route to the airport. Due to a misunderstanding with my co-passenger (my mistake) I overpaid the driver, who did not blink and cashed the money, giving himself a 50% tip on an already overpriced ride. This person should be fired immediately.
Adventure Inn really does feel like home in San jose. The ease and comfort they give you in a 10/10. From the shuttle service to and from the airport, an amazing complimentary breakfast and a beautiful/fun environment. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times now and I wont stay anywhere else in San Jose. Eric is also a great communicator and replies very quickly to any question you have. Also they make the BEST pina coladas! And their restaurant is also incredible. Thank you to the staff for always being friendly and helpful, and big thanks to Eric for making this place so easy for travelers.
Our stay was absolutely amazing! The amenities, the service, the price, the food, the views, entertainment, everything will make you feel like royalty! You are met in the lobby with a warm smile & greeting from Alexander Bell boy and checked -in by Margoth. In the lounge you are personally greeted by Ronald day serve and Miguel Angel(night serve) who were very personable. Breakfast was deliciously prepared by Gaudy the cook. Even the housekeeper makes the toilet tissue decorative. Ezequiel, the concierge, was very helpful and all of the staff seemed to never forget a face or name. I must say.. I really enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton.
I cannot say one bad thing about this place. First class all the way. Beautiful rooms, rain shower heads, best beds and pillows ever, great and kind beautiful staff. The guys at the front desk became very vested in us, giving us info, storing our bags, always dressed perfectly, and always carrying themselves professionally. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great! The hotel is located in a quiet part of town, yet very close to bus routes, major highways, groceries, and parks. Guests have access to the pool next door which was small and cozy. There us a small gym downstairs with a few machines and weights. And of course the small ****** around the corner. A great value!

Hhuxiaoxiao_1Perfect for a first night hotel on arrival in Costa Rica at such a reasonable price. Therefore bear that in mind as for the money it is a very good hotel. Lovely pool and more importantly clean comfortable rooms (ours looked recently renovated). The staff are great and food and drinks reasonable. We had an early start and breakfast was available early eg 7am and the staff very helpful in organising cabs etc. The journey from the airport was in the dark and you go through a local area with what looks like no sign of a hotel but it’s there and is behind a private gated entrance. We’d definitely stay again based on value, comfort and location.
We stayed there for one night before flying back home, since our flight was early in the morning. The hotel is quite nice, some pieces are outdated, but still in good condition. The area is very quiet and well maintained. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. That includes the cat who may walk with you to your room ;) Plenty of parking space. The rooms are different from other hotels, lots of wood, even wooden floors. I loved it, better feeling than ceramic tiles and plain white walls. The beds are comfortable and large. The bathrooms are a bit old but everything works and everything is spotless. The only thing I would mention is that there are no fridges and coffee makers in the room. You can actually ask for the coffee maker. But for the fridge - you will have to get some ice (near the pool table). Please note that this review does not cover the steak house, only the hotel.
JjohndD9675NQAm greatly enjoying my stay in Costa Rica and here in lovely La Garita at the Martino Hotel. The hotel itself is quite special -- guests stay in separate tile-roofed buildings spread across the lush, green grounds. I imagine that the views from each room must be quite unique and special. It was so enjoyable sitting and reading on the deck outside my room watching the nearby bamboo forest sway in the gentle wind while listening to the fascinating calls of many species of birds perched in the many species of trees. Extra 5 stars and muchas gracias to the very helpful and friendly staff whose efficiency really impressed me (the hotel was hosting a conference when I stayed there in event space not far from my room, so I could witness first hand how hard the hotel team was working).
