Customer service was excellent and the hotel was very clean and everyone was friendly. Great location for airport travel. Will definitely stay again when in Costa Rica!

Very clean

I really like the Fairfield brand by Marriott, so when I needed to stay over night after getting into SJO airport very late, I was very happy to see there was a Fairfield nearby. We took a cab over (although there is shuttle service available) and it was a two minute ride. The hotel was what I expected, fresh updated room, comfy bed, nice breakfast included, friendly lobby spaces.

Great near the airport

Property was clean and the check in process was easy, staff was pleasant. Wi-Fi was spotty, but the restaurant service was very poor, although the food was okay.

I have terrible experience at this property. My check in was late which I already informed the property by calling them few times. - front desk staff had no idea about the booking and her was very bad - breakfast timings are until 9:30 am. We reached the breakfast counter and there was nothing. We were told that they don't refill after 9. In the name of breakfast, they just had packed oats and coffee. Nothing else. They were no ready to put more packs of instant oats (which was the only option they serve in breakfast. - Foul smell across the property. Mainly in the elevator and in the hallway. It was like mould smell. - our room was #360 which had a lot of issues, washbasin faucet was broken, all drains (kitchen, bathtub, washbasin) were clogged, leaking toilet cistern, dirty windows, old fashioned AC for which the filter has never been changed. The AC was throwing stale and smelly air.

Convenient for airport

Breakfast was fantastic. We were misinformed regarding the shuttle service. It does NOT go 24 hours a day. We missed the shuttled and were conned by a taxi guy. Shuttle starts at 4:00AM and stops at 01:30. We specifically asked and chose this hotel for that reason. Our flight landed at 12:05 and it took all that time to check out. Specifics about the shuttle service should be added
