Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous two floor apar**ent, excellent facilities, outstanding location. Very friendly and accommodating service. Will no doubt book again.

We stayed in unit 23 for a couple of nights while we attended a family wedding. The room was fully kitted out with everything we needed for a weekend away. The unit had beautiful views and was in such a handy location being so closely located to the shops. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was both clean and tidy. Some of the reviews below seem rather harsh… Yes, some of the furniture was a little dated but this is clearly visible in the photos when booking. The shower grout could do with a little attention and the sound proofing for the room upstairs isn’t the best but all in all we couldn’t really fault our stay here as it met all of our expectations and was as advertised in the booking process. The accomodation was good value for money given the cost of similar airbnbs in the area that were located further from the shop/water. Thanks for a lovely little stay in Akaroa! We will be back.

Pros - fabulous location, large rooms Cons - very disappointing for the price ($270 per night!), no grate in bathroom sink (drop anything down there and it is gone for good), shower door must have broken at some point so there is a shower curtain. (which is useless as the water just poured onto bathroom floor), iron board in unit but no iron, very basic kitchen utensils - more like a camp kitchen as full of random mis-matched bits and pieces Overall - I booked this based on my friends recommendation, but I REALLY wish I had read the reviews first. Agree the place is dated and needs some love. At $270 a night, I would have expected a much classier place. We spent over $800 for a 3star motel Reading the reviews, it seems like this has been an issue for a long time so very disappointing to see the owners seem to have zero effort to correct things!!!

A great 2 days in Akaroa. Great accommodation easy walk to all amenities. Only issue was restaurant which could not accommodate daughters nut allergy but they did try. Boat trip to see dolphins a must. Family run business that is second to none. A true highlight.

This place is great. The beds are incredibly comfortable, which is always a major plus. The showerhead is relatively low, the bedding is especially heavy, and the towels require replacing. Otherwise, it's outstanding.

The property is in a great location but has ANT problems. We checked out early as could not deal with the ants that were every where. Beds need to be replaced. Fringe is too small and does not work well.

Our agent booked us into the apar**ent for 4 days but we checked out after 2 nights. The apar**ent had no air conditioning, the furnishings were old and tired, the carpet hadn't been changed for many a decade. I had to buy bleach to try and clean the mould from the shower tray. The TV controls were broke. The seating on the balcony was rickety and the chair covers were stained. The water from the kitchen tasted bad so didn't drink from it. I would not recommend this apar**ent no 32.

Apar**ent 29 is substandard. Advertised on *********** as luxury apar**ent. NOT LUXURY AT ALL. Broken washing machine, broken drier and broken dishwasher. Furniture with lumps of leather missing. Stained carpet and dirty. Attitude of manager - you can leave!
