Hotel Kamal Nearest to Taj Mahal

I have stayed at Kamal previously, and enjoyed a lovely suite on the ground floor (level 1). Things have gone south over 10 years apparently. We checked in and provided our Bookings.com PIN and confirmation numbers. After several phone calls it became apparent the rooms booked were either no longer available or the booking couldn't be found. Ah India... We eventually were allocated two rooms on 2nd level. Both were basic but OK. I received a small electric shock when switching on the bedside light, but a quick fiddle soon established a more per***ent connection. No A/C, which was fine given we travelled in February, but would hate to stay here in hotter months. There is a rooftop area with a fine view of the Taj, and food/beverages are available there or the dining room. Kamal is still one of the better budget places to stay in the Taj Ganj area, however it is in need of a little renovation. And a complete electrical rewiring!

Made the mistake of being lured by the location and rooftop view. We had upgraded to the so called luxury rooms, even then when we asked for heating for the rooms were told "no we don't do heating"!! It drops to 6 degrees overnight here and I'm writing this in bed with all my clothes on. Had booked two nights, but we're spending the second night in another hotel. Sheets unwashed doesn't help either.

This is hotel has a aesthetic taj view 😍 Taj mahal is 2 min walk to this hotel. Room was very neat . staff is very active and good to guide around . Rooftop feels you like sitting next to taj mahal .. this hotel and its staff every efforts to please the guests . We recommend highly for this place

Truly a unique experience . The view of the beautiful Taj mahal is too close to this property . ROOM was decent enough neat and elegant . FREIDNLY STAFF AND GREAT HOSPITALITY MONUMENT IS 3 MIN AWAY RATHER A WALKING PATH FORM THE HOTEL Its fell you are sitting next to the beauty Taj !! Worth to stay this hotel we recommend highly for this place

We had a great stay experience at Hotel Kamal including wonderful customer experience, great staff and amazing view of Taj. It feels you are sitting next to the beauty - Taj Mahal. Monument is 3 mins away, rather a walking path from the hotel. It is properly sanitized and takes every effort to please the guests. We recommend highly for this place.
