It was the wrong time of year, just before Chris**as and we felt as if we were the only guests - both in the hotel and in the town. A French seaside town, in Winter, when almost everywhere is closed, the people have gone, the sky is grey and the wind cold, is just as depressing as anywhere else, even if it is on the Med. Our room was small but warm and comfortable. The pool leads off the Reception area; and there are no changing facilities so little option but to walk back to the room, damp. In the Summer Cap d'Agde may be a cheerful town and the hotel may be lively, but not when we went there.

Staff doesnt care at all about the clients. We asked for restaurants advice and also to get the taxi boats. They couldnt care less.
We felt like an A** machine.
Poor breakfast for 12Eur. Nothing fresh, only old croissants and bread.
Poor food in the restaurant unfortunately because the manager was very nice.
Nice pool although the area needs some upgrade.
Nice room with good AC and shower, though small.

It was a great time staying at the Hotel Gil de France. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was at a great location not too far from the beach. Breakfast matched well the price. Very clean and the room was spatious.

Nous avons passé un week-end en amoureux à l'hôtel Gil de France et nous avons passé un merveilleux moment. Outre une météo de rêve, nous avons adoré cet hôtel très bien situé au cœur du cap d'Agde (près de l'aquapark et du Luna Park). Tout est accessible à pied, y compris les plages et le charmant port de plaisance. Le personnel est très gentil et disponible. les chambres sont impeccables. La piscine est très belle et agréable, avec son jacuzzi. Nous en avons bien profité. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est vraiment un lieu très accueillant et on s'est régalés avec des produits de qualité et suffisamment copieux. petit plus: le patio de l'hôtel avec son perroquet, son oranger d'Amérique...un véritable havre de bien être. Nous avons aussi testé le sauna qui est top et très propre. On a aussi adoré tous les deux les massages de Véronique! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!
