Firstly I’d like to say that this hotel is not a 4 star, it’s a 2 star, 3 at a push. We were put in block 2 initially in a ground floor room and straight away noticed ants. Our first night we barely slept due to people slamming their doors constantly (it’s not the guests fault, the hotel should put something in place to stop the doors from making such a loud noise). The next day we found about 200 ants in our suitcase on our son’s nappies, it was absolutely disgusting. The reception/management team were really good and moved us to another block. It was quieter and no ants but a huge amount of noisy seagulls kept us awake! Breakfast wasn’t great, it was mostly dried up hard pastries, soggy and tasteless scrambled egg and some weird sausage. They did a nice omelette but you have to que for over 10 minutes at a time. Queuing became a regular thing. If you wanted anything decent to eat like pizza at lunch, chips at dinner or omelette at breakfast then you’d have to que for a ridiculously long time, which is particularly difficult when you have a toddler. One day I qued for 20 minute for pizza because there were limited choices for lunch and some guy who tipped the pizza guy came away with 2 whole pizzas, which left the que to still not be given food! They just didn’t make enough of the most popular food, everyday was basically the same reheated tagine and meats. The food would be ok if they served pizza in the actual restaurant everyday and chips everyday. This hotel claims to be a family hotel but the dinner doesn’t start until 7.30pm!!! It’s insane to make children wait that long! Mini disco is 8.30pm and entertainment doesn’t start until 9.45pm! The whole hotel is catered only to French people. The mini disco - all French, the evening entertainment- all French. Honestly, don’t bother going if you’re British, this hotel shouldn’t even be listed on uk sites. 80% of the waiting staff are rude and you don’t get service unless you tip! You can’t sit together unless you tip, no drinks or acknowledgment. Saleh was particularly nasty and when we asked for some tables to be put together for my family he said no and walked away leaving us with nowhere to sit. The only nice waiter we saw was Driss, who would actually help and provide service without an upfront tip. The French that tipped got their tables set up before they came to dinner, got drinks provided from the bar and the waiters went above and beyond. The more you tip the better service obviously but it’s so annoying to have to do that in an all inclusive. If you want any nice cocktail, you have to pay extra, the ones included are just full of fruit syrup. If you want a proper coffee, guess what, you have to pay extra! The evening bar staff were friendly, Rashid was great and actually made a drink that was drinkable! Anything nice, you have to pay extra for. Everything is very very basic. The pools are nice, but very cold, they stop heating them 1st May. There are bits of crumbling concrete everywh
