Roda Beach Resort & Spa

Nice hotel! Great value! We enjoyed staying here. The pools, the food all the restaurants and the beach is on very good level. May be if they change the mattresses will make the rooms more comfortable. All the team look very good and helpful! Regards!

Lovely room overlooking the beach with a terrace When opening terrace doors in the morning you can hear the waves which was so chilling ! Food overall was ok bit repetitive at times and queues were long and tiresome at times for food and at the bar and snack bars Alcohol was lacking in all cocktails the pina coladas but did taste nice Staff were amazing really friendly and worked very hard at all times whether this be bar staff , reception, cleaners , restaurant staff Entertainment was ok but it would have been nice to have a few bars / restaurants nearby that were accessible after 9pm There was one Greek taverna on the beachfront this was really good for food and Greek dancing 5 minutes walk on the shore front It was a 15 minute walk to Roda town along the beach but after 9pm when the sun went down the path was hard going with big stones when you had to walk over in the dark , so this limited how much time you could spend at night in Roda town. Taxis were available but didn’t want to use every night to get back to hotel. Pool and private beach lovely and well maintained Only one issue with people reserving sun loungers at beach and around pool area at 730am so this made it hard to get a spot even after breakfast around 9am , when some of the people who reserved beds did not go down till the afternoon to actually use the reserved bed ! Overall the seting was a mini paradise and would go back again but would be keen to have the option of bed and breakfast only .

I would question if this is an All Inclusive Hotel when you spend so much time queuing for drinks and some food stations. The pool bar takes on average 15mins per round of drinks and you can only get 2 drinks per person, my partner was told if she wanted more then 2 she should go to the back of the queue and wait again even though we are a family of 4. The staff on this Bar where quite rude. The main reception area is lovely, large space and very comfortable, down side the Bar shuts at 5pm, you have to go down stairs to the Theater Bar which opens at 5:30pm and comes with an average wait exceeding 15mins for a significant part of the evening. Why would you close a bar in an area where people can relax and while-away the evening just enjoying there holiday. Staff on both these bars where very nice, just struggling to cope with the number of people and only having one beer pump at each of the bars certainly doesn't help. Food quality overall very good, always something you could eat. I didn't try the specialist restaurants so have no comment on them. This could be a very good Hotel if it didn't skimp on what it delivers food & drink.

I have been coming to this hotel for more than 18 years and absolutely love it. It has such happy memories and feels like ‘home’ as soon as we arrive. It is now our chosen destination to bring our own 3 young children as it has so many benefits for us as a young family. The hotel as a whole feels very safe for our children, staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Makram and Mr Minas are a great asset to the hotel in particular along with many others who always go that extra bit to help whenever they can. There is a wide range of foods available at the main restaurant, beach front restaurants and plenty of snack areas dotted around the hotel with foods including gyros, burgers, chips, salad, baguettes and crepes to name a few. The all inclusive is excellent for us as our children can just order their own drink whenever needed and they love that little bit of independence, the servers around the 900 block are always excellent with them and so friendly. There’s many activities for adults and children to get involved in and different pools for you to swim, the main pool has slides for children and a baby pool which the kids love but there are also quieter pools if that’s what you prefer and you can use hotel towels which they provide free of charge. Rooms are very spacious, clean, air-con is fab (which is a must!) fridge with bottled water and fresh clean towels all changed regularly. They do have different options available for rooms including swim up rooms so best to check what you’re booking to ensure you book what suits you. The grounds are kept beautifully and always being maintained by the team. The hotel is situated on the beach and is great to have everything you need in the one place however, the local village, Roda is just a short 15 minute walk along the beach and I’d recommend a visit to see the local shops at least once while you stay. It’s beautiful. Overall I would 100% recommend this hotel and I can’t wait to return again.

First time back since 2018 and this time it was a family holiday which was my sixth return visit. We had an amazing week and it was brilliant to see so many changes. Whether it was gyros by the main pool, burgers by the smaller pool or a gym on the beach. The food was excellent with multiple options in the main buffet restaurant for adults and children. We ate in the waterfront restaurants and the food was also lovely. The service from the staff was fantastic where you were felt welcomed by everyone and in particular Makram who went the extra mile every time even if he was busy.

Hi, We returned from our holiday on Monday after spending 7 nights at the hotel. We are family of 5, with 3 children 14, 9 and 10 months baby. The hotel is rated 5 stars however I would give it 3.5 due to many downfalls: - we were given a room at second floor with no lift, had to carry the baby’s pram upstairs few times a day. - long queues at bars and the main restaurant. Put us off and we started buying from a local shop to have a drink. Very disappointing. - very poor quality of alcoholic drinks - poor night entertainment and very limited kids discos - some of the staff members quite rude - scrambled eggs at breakfast and mashed potato both made from a powder, disgusting. - air conditioning not working at our room, not fixed despite this being reported twice at the reception. - wifi available only at the reception are - the number of sunbeds at pools below the demand of guests, leaving people without access to it. - it was difficult to navigate around the complex with a pram, not many ramps and I had to carry the pram often at the pool area. Likes: - room spacious and clean, fresh towels every day - nice food, good selection at lunch and dinner, freshly made. - plenty of pools and access to towels at the pool for free. - nice location and stunning views - access to a private beach - good snack bars with ice cream and crepes available the whole day. I would return to the hotel only if the management had addressed the significant drawbacks.

Our last night at this beautiful resort , in the most amazing location. The staff have been outstanding, especially Makram who has gone above and beyond to ensure every need was catered for. The food, pool, beach and entertainment have been brilliant and will be looking to return next summer ❤️

Absolutely amazing holiday staff go above and beyond to help we dealt with Makram and he couldn’t do enough for us. Travelled with 3 children (4 and under) was put in a room on the second floor and he managed to get us a room on the ground floor the next day, next to friends we travelled with! The food was probably the best all inclusive food we’ve ever had! Highly recommend will be revisiting next year!

I have never had to queue so much at any hotel than this one, took up a large chunk of my holiday. It started quite well, as we got in quite late they put on a small buffet for us to eat. Room was ok, a bit dated, and the air con was noisy. Shower leaked and beds are not the comfiest. Food was ok, nothing amazing, but always something to eat. Queue for the main section was around 10 mins at peak times. Half way through our holiday they decided to stop making individual omelettes which was disappointing. Staff were pleasant without being friendly. Pool area was ok, unfortunately the problem with people reserving beds with towels was the worst I’ve seen it, with some people reserving them the night before! Beach is good for kids as it’s shallow. Queues for the bars are ridiculous, on an evening you can be waiting around 15 mins. Staff don’t seem to be in any rush, and customer service isn’t great. The guy at the reception bar is nice (good for coffee here) and the lady serving ice cream at the beach area is friendly. The kebab man at the main pool is quite rude. Entertainment was pretty poor, although they do seem to be trying! Kids disco could be longer and more varied. I’d also say there needs to be clear signage everywhere. This could be (maybe was) a lovely hotel but needs much improvements
