It was great to have a such nice hotel in the colimbo, room condition and design is awesome and all staff are really kind. Especially, I would like to point that the rooftop pool is extraordinary beautiful. I can say that having time ar rooftop pool is must thing to do in colombo.
You get what you pay for and what’s stated. The location is very good, there’s a local supermarket around the corner for supplies. My only issue is, there were urine stains on my toilet seat - I cleaned it myself, how it got there I do not know. Also the service attitude of one of the receptionist (her name is Madhu) left a sour taste for me - I changed my plans and reduced my stay, she demanded that I cannot do that and I cannot leave - without listening to me about the refund which had already been issued. Her peers were much friendlier.
The staff for breakfast were super accommodating and nice, also the two ladies in the cafe downstairs.
I recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience.
The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all.
Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers.
The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety.
Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness.
The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming.
Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, everything was perfect. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The reception team especially made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate! this is a great place to stay!
IIan LagacLocation is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious.
Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready.
Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait.
Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating.
Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool.
Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people.
Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.

The in room dining was also excellent and of very high quality. Unfortunately I caught a cold during my stay and could not explore everything, but I will definitely come back.
A true five star experience. Highly recommended.
