Used the hotel for one night as we were departing early from the airport the following morning. We used the train as mode of transport and the hotel was a short walk from Birmingham International. We didn't use the Air shuttle. Found it quite confusing to get to the entrance to the Hotel and had to walk by it to cross the busy road further on. We arrived a little early to check in but made use of the comfortable bar and had drinks at standard hotel prices. Easy check in and the room was just what we needed. Quick change and then out for an early evening meal at the near by resorts world. Through the NEC complex. Early night as we had to vacate at 3 am. All in all a pleasant experience and like an extra days holiday. Short walk to the departures next day so an ideal location.
Reasonable room rates, room clean , water hot in bath/shower-food was extremely tasty, and excellent value for money for both evening meal and breakfast.
Weather was hot and only improvement would have been to keep complimentary water/juice in foyer topped up as no cool water or drinks available in room.
Good location close to NEC and train station. There’s a covered walkway from the station. The walk to the station is a bit odd through industrial estate but had footpaths and was well signposted.
Hotel room was clean with a comfy double bed. Only one pillow each though and too late to request another by the time we realised. Ate lunch in restaurant, only one staff member serving so very slow. Food was good though and also enjoyed breakfast; this was buffet style with a good selection. Overall would recommend this hotel if going to NEC.
The hotel is ideally located bear the NEC Birmingham. We were there for an event, and combined it with a visit to our daughter in uni in the city. The amenaties were excelkent. Had dinner in the restaurant both nights. Food was of a high standard and reasonably priced. Woukd stay here again.
The staff were some of the best.
Breakfast was adiquate cereal or fried.
The accomadation is feeling a little dated.
Our Bed had seen its best ,spring were close to the surface of the bed and once in we were afraid to move incase a spring pierced us . Room 116
When you moved it was like a tune from tubular bells.
The only mirror for the wife to do her hair the ceiling light didnt work, was reported but nothing can be done due to it being the weekend.
Very noisy from outside on the main road traffic you can even hear people in their cars on the phone.
Parking was plenty
Ideal for walking into town for food and shopping.
The wifi didnt work for the 2 days.
Ip address could not be found again
Reported but again its weekend.
Other rooms may be better.
On arrival we were asked to pay £10 for parking which seems odd. I could understand if you weren’t a guest, but if you’re staying I don’t understand why you have to pay.
Reception was easy and hassle free.
Room was as expected. Clean and comfortable. Had to ask for extra teabags, milk sugar as only a couple in the room.
Slept well. No noise.
Breakfast was excellent Lots of choice and not greasy.
Check in very prompt and friendly. Room clean and fresh. Had food early evening in the bar/ restaurant. It was ok, crispy chicken burger with chips. Would stay here again as it’s so convenient to departures at BHX, walking distance

SSkyeDinnerExcellent service and breakfast; but if the free WiFi could be provided more stable and faster, that would be much better since most mobile networks didn’t work properly.
ผผู้เข้าพักI had such a pleasant experience at Britannia Hotel Coventry. The check in was smooth and the staff made me feel welcome .My room was spacious, tidy, and very comfortable. The Hotel is in a great location just a short walk from Coventry city centre. Everything about my stay was Convenient and relaxing.I would definitely stay again.
AAndrew from SporeTo be fair Birmingham at first glance coming out of the station doesn’t look all that safe for a foreign traveller. The route to the hotel would initially reinforce that impression. However after walking the city the next day for over 6-8 hours, while the location is NOT city Center, it is actually located in a good place close to all the major places I need to visit on foot; train station, the mega mall Bullring, Birmingham city center / cathedral / St Martin’s mkt, the hip new part of town - Gas Basin (canal waterways) and also the city’s modern library with the rooftop gdns (@ Centenary Square). The rooms looked like it was recently refurbished. For the price I paid (58 Pounds for 2 pax), it was the best value out of my entire 16 day UK trip covering 15 different towns - up & down the UK (incl London/Cambridge/Leicester/Coventry). In short, a pretty damn good deal. It had aircon which was a major blessing in summer as most other places I stayed, didn’t have that.
ผผู้เข้าพัก5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.
SSfrixelReally unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously.
Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it.
Very very very unsatisfied.
