Diamond Hill is one of Hawaii's most famous landmarks and an extinct volcano east of Wakiki. Diamond Hill in Hawaiian is "Leahi" (meaning tuna eyebrows). It was later named "Diamond Hill" by British sailors in the 19th century who thought they had found diamonds on the slopes of the crater. These "diamonds" are actually shiny calcite crystals of no value.
