Well, the room I booked was a bit small, so we asked for an upgrade and settled everything at the counter. I’m used to Japanese standards of amenities, so it felt a bit lacking — especially the simple, cheap white indoor slippers 😅 Lesson learned: bring my own next time, haha.
We arrived early were treated so lovely by delightful young man. Our luggage was stored for us. Everything was great. We asked how much a taxi would cost to cruise port by a lovely lady, at hotel desk she said 17 Euros, she booked it for us. What spoilt everything is we were advised by driver at cruise port....we will be charged 30 Euros, my husband advised that is not what hotel advised us. Driver settled on 25 Euros as he said hotel has to take 5 Euros to. This truly spoilt our lovely experience at our accommodation.
Other that this the hotel was beautiful.
Getting there was incredibly easy — it’s only about an eight-minute metro ride from Rotterdam Central, and the hotel is literally just outside the Leuvehaven metro station, which makes arrival and getting around very convenient.
The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. We had a canal-facing room, which was beautiful, especially in the evening when the lights reflected on the water — definitely a lovely touch to the stay.
It’s also about an eight-minute walk to Beurs, so you’re well placed for shops, restaurants, and the city centre without being right in the busiest area. I’d happily recommend this hotel for both comfort and location.
Great hotel with comprehensive facilities. The fitness center is a standout, featuring modern and well-maintained equipment. The staff's service attitude was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again!
Wij komen heel graag terug!
NNrncylglThe hotel was very clean and perfectly located in the city centre, making it easy to get around. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Everything was well organised and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again
Impeccably clean and spacious room with full kitchen and a comfy bed. Extremely convenient location adjacent to metro station and in the centre. I liked the working space as well and made use of luggage storage without no issues. Frequent fire alarms was the only issue that I would complain of(had 2 in 4 days). Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here if I were to visit Rotterdam again
The hotel was really clean. The photos we saw of this hotel all over the internet showed it to be close to the promenade, but unfortunately it wasn't like the photos and it was a long walk from many things.
The breakfast didn't have the variety that a five-star hotel should have, it was about the same as a four-star hotel and there was very little choice. The Netherlands is famous for its cheese, and considering it was a five-star hotel and in the Netherlands, there was very little choice of cheese at the hotel's breakfast. The hotel didn't have slippers, it's a good thing we had brought them with us. We went to five- and four-star hotels in several different countries and they all gave us a bottle of mineral water a day, but here, no, there was no water and we bought it ourselves from the market. And another thing that really bothered us was the extreme coldness of the room🥶, to the point where it was like winter (we were there on September 1st). The air conditioner in the room was always on and could not be turned off at all, and they themselves confirmed this, and unfortunately I got sick there🥺😮💨.
One of the towels and one of the pillowcases were also dirty. If they can't be washed, they should be thrown away. This brings down the quality of a five-star hotel.
The menu selection was limited, but we had a very delicious fish dinner.😋
