"I really enjoyed my stay at Willa Helan. The hotel is unique with plenty of character, it is decorated traditionally. The rooms are also traditional with their decor and furniture which is nice as you feel somewhere different, unlike chains where every hotel looks the same wherever you are in the world. The booked a single room and I found the bed to be comfortable. My only negative was the room was too hot for me even with the autumn temperatures of October, although this could be a how the Polish prefer their room temperatures to be as I found it to be very hot on the overnight sleeper train also. I opened the window for the duration which did help somewhat. The location is convenient as the centre is easily accessible by a bus which is frequent and operates late into the evening, the area surrounding the hotel is peaceful and pretty and there’s the benefit of of a few restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. The facilities are excellent, the spa has multiple saunas as well as a steam room whilst the pool also comes with a large jacuzzi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they all spoke very good English so communication was never an issues. The breakfast which was included with my booking was delicious and the buffet was plentiful. As a vegetarian I could always create a plateful of food. I especially enjoyed how they use local produce such as the mountain cheeses. I would definitely stay again in the future. Thanks for enjoyable stay Willa Helan!"

"Villa T is well located for easy access by car in all weather conditions.It is close to the centre of town for restaurants and shops, but is located on the edge of an open park area which means the area is quiet at night. The apartments are tastefully designed using quality materials, and are well equipped for families. Towels and bathrobes are provided as are bathroom and kitchen essentials- tea, coffee, dishwasher tabs etc. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The inclusive breakfasts are taken at the adjacent Villa Toscana - a short 50 metres walk away, and are absolutely fantastic! Don’t be tempted to miss out on this."

Apartamenty Forma Tatrica

"We were 2nd time staying in Forma Tatrica and unfortunately it is a huge contrast as quality is going down or we were really not lucky. We got an apartment with strong cigarettes smell 😔 When we asked to switch it, we were told, no other apartment available during our stay, it was neither possible to get a refund nor a discount (paid 600EUR for 6 nights). In that situation receptionist was extremely unprofessional and arrogant: he kept repeating he can not help in any way, he walked in our rooms with his shoes, was pretending he has running nose, suggesting to spray some scent on top of the cigarettes smell, he didn’t know when the manager will work and she can’t speak English etc. It was truly disappointing, like “talking to a brick wall” 😔 Next day we talked with another receptionist, lady was really nice, yet after she talked with manager we got instant coffee and invite to use jacuzzi for free as an excuse. Would sound nice, yet just take a look to jacuzzi (see pic attached). Once we told we are checking out, finally we were offered a new appartment. Yet it was too late as we had to book another hotel after half a stay as cigarettes smell were already soaked in towel, clothes and hair."

Top Hostel Pokoje Gościnne

"At a central location in Zakopane: close to bus stops where frequent transport is available to different parts of the national park, but also there is a Lidl nearby. The hostel is kept very clean and the facilities such as showers, toilets and lockers are in good order. Wifi works well, also in the rooms. There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook yourself. Good breakfast. At first I was hesitant to book, as the hostel is upstairs from a café with music, but after 10:00 PM it is quiet. Staff intervenes if other guests are making noise and ensure it is quiet at night. The experienced staff also speaks good English and is helpful with information on what to do in the area. Very friendly, I felt welcome and at ease. Many guests (some with odd behavior) on a relatively small space."

"Very pleasant and quite charming local hotel in Zakopane - outside of the tourist precinct - the rooms were small but comfortable - and the service was excellent (thank you Agnetha). My only quibble was the wifi was very patchy when we stayed there but otherwise delightful."
