Hotel reception check in was smooth and pleasant. Miss Zhou provided helpful suggestions.
Upon check out, Mr Zhang offered to help carry our heavy luggage to the car. He's very attentive and friendly.
Great location, very modern and welcoming. However the downside is the staff wasn’t friendly and the room that I book was stated as canal view but all I get is backroad view, no canal to be sighted.

This was my fourth time staying at this hotel, which speaks volumes about its overall quality and reliability.
The Pros (Why I Keep Returning):
The hotel is consistently good, and its best feature is the excellent location right next to the shopping mall. This proximity makes it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and easy access to amenities.
The Room (The Disappointment):
This is where my experience differed negatively from previous stays. Given that this was my fourth visit, I was hoping for the same room size or perhaps even an upgrade, but unfortunately, the room I received this time was noticeably smaller and felt cramped compared to the rooms from my previous three stays.
As a returning, loyal guest, this was quite disappointing. I felt that the reduced room size was a clear step down.
Overall Conclusion:
Despite the noticeable downgrade in room size this visit, the hotel remains a very good choice overall. The location is unbeatable, and the service is generally reliable. I hope that on my next visit, the hotel can accommodate me with a room size more consistent with my prior experiences.
There were noticeable service gaps during our stay, and concerns about differential treatment surfaced, as staff sometimes seemed more attentive to guests of other racial backgrounds. While staff were present, no luggage assistance was offered at check in and check out, which was challenging for elderly travelers. We also found that umbrellas or weather-ready amenities were not readily available that contributed to discomfort and illness. The side alley leading to the hotel felt dark and sometimes unsafe, and breakfast options were limited for a property claiming 5-star status. Overall, the hotel did not meet the premium standard promised, and there are better options nearby for travelers prioritizing consistent, inclusive service and value. I would not recommend this hotel to guests seeking reliable and equitable service.
