Excellence Oyster Bay - Adults Only All Inclusive

A previous reviewer said "Stop searching and Just book it". They were 100% right. I am a thorough travel researcher especially when it comes to travel. No resort is Perfect. But Excellence Oyster Bay is pretty close. We spare no expense and have high expectations because it is 1-2 weeks out of a year and we deserve it after working so hard. This review is broken down into each area to assist you in completing your reservation to this terrific resort & to provide feedback to its management team to help with the Excellence Brand. DO IT BOOK IT NOW. MUST PACK - 1. Smoothie size STRAWS you will need it for your pina coladas and daquiris. 2. MOSQUITO SPRAY- DO NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT 2 cans. Mosquitos were constant from the balcony, outdoors, indoors and the front door entrance to your room. We noticed more in the room after the excellent housekeeping service was provided to the room. You may also consider bringing a citronella candle for your balcony. It will likely help as well. Not sure what was going on with the excessive mosquitos but we can recognize the resort did spray early morning hours daily. Suggestion: Something more should be done maybe a stronger spray, more frequent - not sure. But it is necessary. The mosquitos were terrible & not the norm. Glad we packed repellant but it worked minimally. We understand that we are in a tropical environment and your need to respect the surrounding. 3. Bring your STAINLESS STEEL CUP - everyone has one. Keeps your drinks cold and bartenders will refill it until your heart desires. 4. Bring minimal $300 in $1, $5, $10s for tip. Its necessary to appreciate the service of the folks who do all that they can to accommodate you. We also delivered several small backpacks to the Excellence club - Share the Love Program for them to donate to the local community or staff school children. We have so much gratitude for you to allow us to visit your country. Cant wait to return. Airport Mo bay club - yes. Purchase it. It was seamless. Provided Excellent communication via email well in advance prior to travel & throughout any flight changes. We Arrived from our long flight and found a concierge holding your name sign to whisk you through the busy security and customs lines. The concierge gives you One less thing to mentally think about at a busy airport. We never saw the lounge so unfortunately in order to have our 1st Red stripe, it was cold and for $10 cash. Grabbed it outside before we entered our car transfer. Mo bay club concierge staff was not as evident upon departure - the club area was ok & better than being in the common area. Seasons Tours - Airport Transport c/o Excellence Resort. EXCELLENT!! Kindly Greeted by a Premium full size Black Suv - super clean interior and offered water. Awesome Driver was welcoming and informative as we laughed with Bob Marley playing. He pointed out the golf courses which was an interest of ours, shopping centers and Rose Hall along the way.

This has been the most incredible vacation I have ever experienced in my life. Excellence resort was so beautiful; I really felt I was at a paradise. The rooms, the staff and the food was at a five star level. The employees prioritized my comfortability and guaranteed I was well taken care of throughout my stay. Manager Shane Haslam went above and beyond to ensure i had nightly reservations and I received appropriate accommodations each day during the week. He continually checked in, asked if I needed anything and made my birthday profoundly special in every way. I am truly grateful I chose excellence as the place to stay during my first and definitely not last visit to Jamaica. I met some exceptional people at the resort. I went for my birthday, but somehow received so much more. This trip will remain in my heart. Thank you Excellence resort.

This was around our 15th visit to Excellence, but the first to Oyster Bay in Jamaica. Well, having had some concerns about previous reviews, I can honestly say that we certainly didn't experience any of the negatives others have written. We had close contact with Sudique, Chief Concierge, and any concerns we had were quickly resolved and she was amazing at ensuring we had the holiday we have been led to expect from the Excellence chain She was extremely helpful and personable and we can' thank her enough. The staff are all super friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to say hello and ask how our holiday is going. All were happy to have a chat, from the bar and waiting staff, to the gardeners and bell boys. They have smiles on their faces and look like they are enjoying their jobs which is great to see. The waiting staff in the restaurants, especially Magna and Zenith in the mornings, and Spice in the evenings were just super helpful, friendly and work extremely hard. I am sorry that I am unable to remember names. The grounds are absolutely stunning and kept so well. I would sit for ages just looking from the balcony and enjoying the views. There are plenty of sunbeds and loungers and we didn't have any issues finding one with shade in a position around the resort where we wanted to sit. The food was great. A good choice and wonderful flavours. We didn't have a bad meal in any of the restaurants, and the only downside was that on one occasion after eating our main meal we were told there were no desserts available. Whilst it was late in the evening and I believe the restaurant was extremely busy that day, I was surprised that options weren't available. However, food is always available somewhere 24/7 and therefore it wasn't an issue. Whilst the service may be slightly "slower" at some times compared to Mexico, it really wasn't a problem. The service at the bars was quick, even if the pool service at your sun beds wasn't, but ultimately getting up and getting a drink really isn't a problem when it's probably the most exercise you get when on a luxury holiday. The laid back vibe was great for us. We preferred to stay around the EC pools for the peace and quiet, but enjoyed having lunch overlooking the main pool where it is a lot more active and music playing throughout the afternoon. We are fussy travellers, and I worry if reviews had been poor before visiting, but I would have no concerns on returning and would recommend this resort.

I have been to several high end resorts/hotels in my life time; not just in the Carribean but also in Europe, USA and Africa. I have experienced bad, good, really good and amazing stays. If you are on the fence whether you should book here or not..let me tell you.. you will greatly loose out if you don't. I really don't understand the negative reviews, however, people's priorities and backgrounds are different. Staff: The staff could not have served us better even if they tried. On my husband's birthday the Carribean Grove was out of Oxtail. Not a big deal to us, but staff made it a big deal. Apologized profusely and asked where would be dining the next night and I told them Chez Isabelle. So the following night they had a table reserved for us and yes, my husband got his oxtail. Chef Leon (Carribean Grove) came over to chez Isabell to ensure my husband was satisfied with his oxtail...we were so blown away and wanted to thank Chef Leon afterward, but could not get a hold of him..(Excellence management, if you are reading this..please give Chef Leon kudos for excellent above and beyond service) I am horrible with names but can just say we did not have a single staff member that did not want to go above and beyond to make our stay excellent... a couple of names I remember is Patricia at Zenith Club and Ricardo at Excellence Beach. Our drivers with Season Transfers..very polite and friendly. I can't remember our first driver's name, our second driver back to the airport was Michael. Room: We had a split stay and enjoyed both room categories. We had an ocean view suite (1305) with great views and then BH301. No complaints about either. It was nice staying in building 1 for being close to everything. Beach houses are just a serene experience in it's own category. In all honesty, unless you are on your honeymoon, I don't think the room category will make or break your vacation. We spent very little time in our room. I do think paying extra for excellence club is totally worth it, especially if your stay is longer than 4 days. Variety makes your vacation so much more enjoyable. Food: Food is very objective and for us the food was just amazing. The chicken curry at the breakfast buffet took me back to childhood memories at my grandma's house. At Chez Isabelle I had the Cordon Bleu and it was excellent. My friend had a "harry met Sally" moment with the chocolate desert...I wanted to go back and try it, but we did not have time..lol... We did not have any bad meals, service at all the restaurants were great. In fact, we did not experience any of the complaints we read about in some reviews. Breakfasts at Magna and Zenith..superb. Lobster House..amazing, Oregano..amazing, Carribean Grove..amazing. Absolutely no complaints. Drinks...top notch, no complaints. The only almost negative (this I believe won't be a problem for everyone), would be that the entertainment schedule ran a bit late in the evening and after a day in t

What a great resort… we made this a special trip and they blew us away with the most excellent experience we could have asked for… The staff was awesome at every point of contact. We lived the beaches and activities available to us during our stay. We’ll be back!

I had a wonderful time at Excellence they went above and beyond to service me and my group of 21 people for my 40th birthday from the start I was very happy we enjoyed a cocktail party for me and my group at the X lounge rooftop which was amazing and until the end I was extremely happy, But One Amazing person I have to recognize and I was so grateful that we met was Mrs karlene Locket who went above and beyond for me and my group, she closed down a restaurant for me and my group and made it a memorable experience that I would never forget we were so happy for what she did for us the food was amazing, the Ambience was amazing the Service was amazing. Everything was amazing. I will definitely come back and support Excellence because they are excellent thanks for having me Khalid Lambert

Excellence Oyster Bay is a must visit! The staff is amazing and makes sure everything is perfect from service to landscaping. Richoy took excellent care of us, meeting with us personally and making sure everything we wanted was taken care of. Daily messages to make sure everythingwas good. Ee met Shakiel the first night and bonded immediately. He always kept an eye out for us and made our visit very fun and enjoyable. He has such a kind sould and huge heart. Princess is so sweet and kept us laughing. Such a good entertainment staff! Warren and David were also amazing entertainment staff. Steven was jamtastic at the EC beach concierge always coming by to say hi and did a wonderful job decorating our Bali bed. Michelle is such a sweet woman, took great care of our room and always smiling. Love when she call us sweet pea and baby cakes. Carville and Ekiem always drove around with smiles and saying hi when they would pass by. Sherian in sports bar and stars bar has such a beautiful soul and can sing! From the moment we arrived, we knew we would not be disappointed and we weren't. It was the perfect getaway and we will be back in 2025.

Listen! By far my time at Excellence Oyster Bay was the absolute best vacation in my adult life! From the moment of the personable welcome made by Delisea and Paul at check in to Onrick being our cart chauffeur my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves and cannot wait to spend our next vacation with the excellent staff at the Excellence! Thank you ALL for making this such a memorable experience.

Definitely recommend 5 star Zenith for dinner is amazing the bar staff Patricha is the best her mojitos are delicious ceejay at the beach ensure your drinks are never low The views are breathtaking, the staff is what makes the property. Everything is so organized and well maintained. Looking forward to my next visit. #XOXO..Chrissy❤️
