During my recent stay at the Hyatt, I had an unfortunate experience where I felt unfairly judged based on my appearance. As a military service member on leave, I was traveling from Colorado Springs and chose Hyatt due to its strong reputation for supporting military personnel. After a long drive, I was eager for a comfortable stay and expected the level of respect and service that the brand is known for. However, upon arrival, I was met with unprofessional treatment. When I inquired about a military discount, I was questioned in a manner that made me feel as if my active-duty status was in doubt. Furthermore, I was treated dismissively, as if my appearance somehow indicated that I couldn’t afford a suite. Only after agreeing to the price was I treated with the level of courtesy I should have received from the start. Customer satisfaction and room quality also fell short of the expectations I had for the price charged. Unfortunately, my experience was a clear reminder that appearances can influence the way guests are treated. I expected better from a brand that prides itself on professionalism, especially toward service members.
The accommodations were superb, including a TV that showed Prime, YouTube, Netflix, and Pandora. The accommodations were pleasant, although I disliked the shower since water frequently ended up on the floor, and instead of a microwave, there was a safe and a very small fridge. I recommend booking a room on a corner because they are considerably bigger. The worker at the front desk was friendly and eager to help customers with concerns. Another issue was that one cleaner said they couldn't understand or speak English, which I considered a complete lie.
My recent stay at the Doubletree by Hilton Wichita Airport for a conference was far from satisfactory. Upon turning on the tap that night, I was met with a shocking sight - discolored, rusty water flowed out, reminiscent of something from an abandoned industrial site rather than a reputable hotel. The rusty water was not only visually repulsive but persisted even after running the tap for several minutes. The mere thought of using it for basic tasks like brushing my teeth was out of the question. The following morning, I brought the issue to the attention of the front desk, accompanied by photographic evidence. She acknowledged the problem with a shocked look. The staff member I spoke with was courteous and provided me with several bottles of water when I mentation that I was thirsty because I would not drink the water. However, it seemed there was little they could do to address the underlying issue. While waiting for my conference to begin, I overheard several other guests sharing their own grievances. One couple had encountered the same water problem and found the staff to be rude upon reporting it. They ultimately checked out and sought alternative accommodations. Another guest mentioned enduring a week without hot water, further highlighting the hotel's maintenance shortcomings. In conclusion, I strongly advise against considering a stay at this hotel. Save yourself the frustration and seek accommodation elsewhere, preferably at a location that prioritizes basic hygiene standards and guest satisfaction.
Very nice location in the East Plazzio right next to Bowlero. Also The Warren, Trauma, Chicken N Pickle, Jose Peppers, Cheddar, and Freddy's. Good service, nice staff, good breakfast ☺️
ผผู้เข้าพักTevin and Carter were very helpful when I needed to make adjustments to my reservation through a third party. It was simple and quick to make changes. Everyone at the front desk greeted us. The room was quiet, and my kids enjoyed the stay as much as I did.
ผผู้เข้าพักFriendly staff. Clean quiet atmosphere, breakfast was great, always fully stocked. Price was a little high for the area but was worth it. Only negative thing was not having any vending machines, had to walk all the way to the front every time we needed a water.
We stayed here for 4 nights moving our daughter in town for an internship. The hotel location was close to her apartment and very close to food, gas, etc. It seems like a newer hotel so everything was clean and spacious. It's a large hotel and there were some large groups for a sporting event in town but we didn't have much trouble with noise or activity. The room was perfect, plenty of space. The breakfast area was clean, spacious, no trouble finding seating, and the food options were very good. Lucky for us they rotated food options each day so we had variety for our stay. The front desk staff were always very friendly when we came/left for the day. I would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed at this hotel before. It has a great location. We have family in Wichita and are there at least once a year. We will never stay at this location again! They only have 1 bench for sitting outside–for the whole hotel! The side and back doors are only for exiting, you can not come back in them. We generally keep the do not disturb sign on the door until we want the room cleaned. I received a text the first day asking how the stay was. Our trash getting full and we needed towels so after breakfast we removed the do not disturb sign and left. When we returned a few hours later the maids were gone and our room had not been cleaned. When I got a text from them I mentioned it and they argued with me! Our son came to our room to visit and mentioned how stained the hall carpet was. Then, to top it all off, I turned in my key cards as we were leaving and later got the email with the bill. It was correct so I didn't think much of it. Then a few days later I checked my bank accounts and they had double charged us for a 5 night stay! I called the front desk and she said she did not see it and I would need to talk to the manager who was not in yet. I called back later and he was still not in. I left messages and never got a returned call. The following week I tried again and was hung up on. I filed a claim on my credit card and finally got a credit. This hotel obviously has some issues and I would not recommend it.
This place is awful. I mean, it's a Comfort Inn not a roadside motel in Tijuana so what is going on here? The shower had no water pressure whatsoever, the room had a weirdly humid air about it despite our constantly running a/c, the hallway carpeting is abysmally dirty, the elevator glass and floor are dirty (it's impossible to see through the glass), the grout in the tub is in desperate need of replacement and is terribly mildewed, all of the doors, trim and floors are marred, shabby and filthy throughout the hotel, the breakfast area ceiling tiles have water damage and are dirty and gross, and most disturbing of all is the air and heat vent there which is absolutely black with mold! I have actually contacted the Health Department about it. This is not just unsightly but hazardous to anyone and especially for those with breathing issues or asthma. Comfort Inn should be capable of much better and ought to be ashamed to call this one of theirs.
MMichaelT711The stay was fine. Clean affordable room but it took me over an hour to check in because I came after 8pm. Staff was great but using the courtesy phone should not be so inconvenient.
