From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, everything was just perfect. Mel & Trish were fantastic hosts, going above & beyond, to ensure our stay was perfect. Mel came in the car, to show us where the local parking was, sorted out the disabled parking permit, helped to carry our bags & gave us recommendations - for local eateries/places to visit. Nothing was too much trouble. Trish cooked an amazing breakfast each morning, which was delicious. Both Mel & Trish, were friendly & attentive. The rooms were tastefully decorated and clean and had everything we needed. The mini fridge, with fresh milk, was very welcomed. The ground floor room, for those that can’t manage stairs, was fantastic, for my parents. My parents have stayed in many guest houses, in Weymouth, for over 30 years - and this was their favourite. The location is great - just a short walk, to the beach. We will definitely be returning 😊
I recently stayed at this charming guest house and was thoroughly impressed. The Seaview room was cozy and conveniently located right across from the beach. Cleanliness was exemplary throughout the property. The owner, who manages the establishment, is exceptionally friendly and maintains the place impeccably. The decor is tasteful and thoughtfully chosen, reflecting the local character and creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, this guest house offers a delightful blend of comfort and location. Highly recommended.
Wonderful relaxing place to stay, with delicious food, best hygiene standards experienced, friendly helpful team of staff, bistro has panoramic views. Centrally placed for Chesil Beach, Portland Bill Lighthouse, The D-day Centre, Henry VIII's Portland Castle and great for hikers/campers. Unfortunately there is no direct lift access to the accommodation area, which is a maze of corridors and steep stairs - there is a service lift to the Bistro which following a staff directed route, you can gain access to the upper area, if the conference is being used then there is no access at all.
There is new management ... Forget the bad reviews of 2022 they no longer apply. Service was attentive and friendly. Lovely log fire was welcome too. The food was excellent with something for everyone on the menu. My, usually very particular, friend raved about the Vietnamese Prawn Curry. We are local and hadn't been here for years because it wasn't great but now we will definitely be going there to eat fairly frequently.
