I was here on a business trip and Ivenia with the front desk was amazing. She made the process really simple and was very knowledgeable about her job. She was very professional and made me feel welcome. 10 out of 10 would stay again. Please hire more like her
Dirty, dingy, dark, and dumpy. I cannot believe how dark and dirty the rooms are. The wall above the bed was covered in dust. The blankets looked old and filthy. There are no overhead lights and no floor lamps in the bedroom - just bedside reading lights - so we needed to use our phone flashlights to unpack. The carpet is ripped, the toilet flooded out of the tank on day 2 from normal usage. This hotel clearly cheapens out on everything. When we checked in, I asked for the sofa bed to made up and the receptionist handed me blankets and said I needed to do it myself, there was no one to do it. Then she told us we needed to walk through an unsafe, un-manned garage to access our room. We booked a one bedroom for our family of 4, and disappointed to see there was no door on the bedroom. Or the bathroom. So much for privacy. To me, no door = no bedroom. The pool was fine, as pictured. Restaurant was passable for a hotel bistro. Only nice feature here is the pool. We come every year to see family late September, and have stayed at four other hotels at Virginia Beach. We would never recommend this one and won’t be staying here again. Dark and disgusting.
Lamps didnt provide enough lighting. Bed comfy. Refrigerator didn't cool my water. Bathroom Awful! Rim of sink fithy with soap scup, mold & mildew, also shower wall & floor. Shower so bad I wore flip flops, not getting in touching anything!
I came here for a reunion with my girlfriend. She came from Georgia. I came from massachusetts we both had 13 hour drive and drove down. It was a long ride when we got here we got our rooms. We had a problem with that so I was going down to the front desk to see if I could fix it and I met Robert Savage who’s your director engineering director here at Marriott on just Sundays thank God I ran into him and I told him my problem and he came down and between him Kay and Shantavia who are awesome people they fixed my problem. I am so happy we use Marriott all the time. My husband is a Goldmember has traveled all over the world stayed in marriot south korea his company only sends their people to marriot residence for month stays all year and even though it took a while for them to fix the problem. It was the best room that I could’ve possibly wanted I thank all of them Kay and shay’s and Robert for all the hard work and making this reunion the best thing that we could possibly have . we are older so we were also very exhausted and appreciate the kindness and caring of your staff we will let my husbands company know how great these people are
Hello and welcome to my review. While we didn't use all of the amenities, this can still serve to help you make an informed decision. We checked in about 830 on a Friday night prior to the NAS Oceana Airshow. We were welcomed by Izzy at the front desk. She was extremely sweet and helpful. When she found out there were children in my travel party, she gave them each a nylon drawstring bag with a snack, coloring book, and crayons. We were on the 18th floor and best I can tell, there were four rooms, broken into suite A and B so they can be combined. We didn't hear any noise on the floor at all. The bathroom had plenty of towels and the tub was quite deep. The room had a microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, and coffee maker. A definite plus was the fact there was actual silverware and plates. Most places with that size only provide plastic and paper utensils. The beds and pillows were comfortable, but the bed didn't seem to be long enough. I'm 5'11 and my feet hung just over the bed. Additionally, the room did seem a little small to me as well. The downside in our room was that the A/C sounded like a jet engine spooling up and once running, sounded like an inbound helicopter. I cannot say if that is common across all rooms. This hotel does not offer free breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat right there along Virginia Beach, While parking is part of your resort fee, the garage is one block away. As I said, we didn't use any amenities, so I have no idea how the pools and fitness center are. All in all, the hotel is clean, it's on the beach, and the staff is friendly. I hope that helps.
Amazing stay! Pillows, beds and comforter were so fluffy and comfy. Rooms were really clean. Check in and out was easy and staff always available no matter the time and friendly. The decor is beautiful and modern and plenty of seating in lobby. Can see the beautiful ocean from the lobby and acces it. The only let down was there were no bottled water in the rooms unlike my friends room who stayed at a similar quality hotel down the street. We had to go to the bar and buy $3 bottles. Also the breakfast that I'm sure we were paying an upcharge for was not great. Looked delicious but waffles were dust and orange juice watered down. Overall though we would for sure stay again!
ผผู้เข้าพักCelebrating my birthday was a great experience. The room was oceanfront. The shower was incredible but the room was very small. There was minimal furniture so everything must stay in the luggage or on the floor. The bed was very comfortable and tv was large but there was nowhere to sit and only 1 nightstand. I suggest a mini fridge and 2 nightstands. Other then that I would recommend checking the Moxy out . Every employee seemed to enjoy working there and everyone was friendly and helpful
SSheree GOur room was very clean, pleasant and quiet!. Very comfortable with a terrific view! Even when we had a problem with cigarette smoke from another guest nearby, the staff was very professional and handled the problem the best possible way and moved us to another room. (Note: this hotel is a non-smoking facility.)
SSteeler MThis is our second time staying at the hotel. We came back because we had a 100% positive experience the last time. We were not disappointed this time either. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The newly renovated hotel is wonderful. The rooms are gorgeous. The rest of the facility looks great too. The breakfasts are delicious with great variety each day. The staff is friendly. A special shout-out to Yosef, Shay, and Latoya for exceptional service and great attitudes. The BEST part of the hotel is the overall cleanliness especially our room. Thank you!
We've stayed here 3 times now and are happy with our stays. The rooms are clean and the area is quiet away from all of the noisy attractions. I like the parking garage and the closeness to the rooms. I don't really need all the amenities of a 5 star hotel and we have not been disappointed with any of our stays.
SStar NFALSE ADVERTISEMENT! It looks beautiful from the online pictures but once you get there....it's bad. The locks are all broken, door handles are jiggly, beds are hard as a rock, balcony is questionable, the elevator is terrible and super hot, parking sucks, smell is bad, and there's so much more I could list. They don't offer refunds if you get there and decide it's not the place for you. You're essentially stuck there unless you want to lose your money and leave. ONE car per room (not multi-family friendly). Stairwell is falling apart. Housekeeping is lacking. Never gave us towels, blankets, sheets, standing water in the stairwells to slip on, pee stains on mattresses, human urine inside stairwell, exposed insulation, broken sheetrock, outlets falling out of walls, upsidedown faucets, dirty walls, etc. The ONLY positives are the night guy is super nice and the view is nice, but that's it. I will NEVER recommend this place nor will I ever stay here again no matter how cheap it is. Felt really unsafe here. Pay the extra $100-$200 to stay elsewhere. To top it off, their terribly small, weird elevator broke down with people in it so we had to carry all of our stuff from the 7th floor to the bottom by the 11am checkout time. Nobody to help out either. So handicapped people above the 1st floor were stranded for who knows how long. I will put this review on every single website I can. We tried to get some sort of refund THE DAY we got there because of how disgusted we were, but management refused to work with us even after we contaced our booking website. The nice night guy gave us a room that wasn't completely falling apart..but we had to switch rooms twice. The no smoking policy isn't enforced and the pool is tiny. I can assure you... the 10/10 reviews are either paid or management creating accounts to boost ratings. See my pictures, you'll understand why we were so disgusted.
MM&RThis has been the choice hotel for my family for 10 years when we take our annual Va beach vacation! No issues with hotel or its staff, the room, the check in process flawless as usual, but the new aqua holics poolside bar and venue is horrible, limited selection of food and drinks and to top it off the staff is rude and over aggressive. They appear to be an entity that simply rents space from the hotel but they act as if they own the property. We went to enjoy the pool area and they literally said we don’t have room you must leave. I bought my room it’s not my fault the alcoholics and folks who are not staying on property have over crowded the ata, they should move or you relocate them. The pool belongs to choice hotels not your overrated brand. Terrible in that regard so we spent most of our vacation on the beach to avoid trouble and being hassled and harassed!
