Shu Garden Sea View Chinese Resturant Hotel (VI)

Beautiful ambience, close to amenities and located in a central location. I was picked from the Airport which was a wonderful included service, and also the inclusive food buffet and laundry was really thoughtful Just wished that smoking was not permitted within the hotel reception. Otherwise all good

This hotel was absolutely awful. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty and smelt of damp air. There was no toilet seat in one of the rooms. The rim of the toilet basin was left exposed . There was rusty water dripping on the towels . Every time we went to have our food in the dining room there would be other guests smoking at the tables . The food was limited , there would be rice and noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Because of all the wonderful reviews this hotel received , we had booked it for 19 days, but we left 2 days later. There is no way this hotel can be classified as a five star hotel!!!!!

This hotel fell way below as advertised, it definitely wasn’t a 5 star hotel, it wouldn’t have passed a 3 star rating. Signage around the hotel states no smoking in public area, yet the hotel manager smoked in the restaurant whilst eating!! Guests were smoking in the lobby, lifts and to make matters worse, a whole range of Chinese cigarettes were being displayed and sold at the main reception desk!! I have travelled all around the world and have never seen anything like this before. Had to cut stay short and booked into another hotel. Never again. Cleanliness fell way below expectations, even found bugs around the shower.

I will keep coming for more it’s the best environment so far their home services and foods are the best so far

Service was amazing from start to finish. Communication is quick and all staff are happy to make themselves known to guests. All staff are happy to help even management. They have an incredible way of making guests feel welcomed. Three meals served throughout the day buffet style which is a great addition. Great location right on the lagoon with great views and plenty of restaurants nearby and stores within walking distance. The room was much bigger than I anticipated with a lot of space. Based on my experience I highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely awful, the hotel has roaches, staff steals personal items out of the room. Staff is observing when you wont be in the room all in all a super bad experience. Got an upgrade and there are mice inside the walls which you’ll hear at night. Staff doesnt help and does nothing to accommodate you. No phones in the room so for any emergency, you’ll be on ur own at night. Receptionist cant help with nothing. 0-10.

It was okay the biggest downside for me are the Chinese people smoking inside the building and in the restaurant for a non smokers this is very inconsiderate and causes alot of inconvenience because everywhere is always smelling of cigarettes smoke which it utterly disgusting, i will not be coming back to this hotel again for this reason

The stay was okay, but as a Nigerian used to bigger spaces, the room felt quite small. There’s also no intercom in the bedroom, so you have to go downstairs to reception for anything you need. The food was good, but it’s a Chinese hotel, so expect mostly Chinese dishes. I requested extra pillows but none was provided, and the toilet could definitely use more tissue supply. On the positive side, the space is clean, the staff is nice and they offer nice bathroom amenities like a razor, comb, and a few other essentials.
