I was in Tulsa for a week of work, which means I am away during the day, and work some hours from the room in the evening. In the past year over several visits I stayed in pretty much all Marriot hotels in downtown, so my review is written in comparison. I will start with the good things The building, a remodeled city hall from the 70's is unique and interesting. Everyone at the front desk staff were great: efficient, helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, modern, clean and everything in the room worked well (shower, A/C, wifi, TV was fine though a bit aging), nice view form the 10th floor. Personally I like the fact they always have drip coffee available at the lobby. The hotel is apparently pet friendly - so quite a few people with pets. Why it is not ideal for business travel, since the hotel was not great in the things that are most important for me when I travel for work: LOCATION: This is at the edge of downtown, probably the worst spot so almost nothing within quick walk, compared to other places - coffee shop/food places/any nice walking destination. Downtown Tulsa has some nice areas, this is not one of them. For people working remotely, there aren't any quick places to jump out to pickup coffee or get lunch or a convenience store (there is a hotel convenience store with some ok stuff). to get to the active and nice part of downtown you have to walk longer. Single perk of location is that it is next door to the Tulsa central library which is beautiful, modern, open 9-9 and is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee or even work from there (they have desks, WIFI, and even a waterfall giving a very relacing ambiance!) PARKING No free street parking (only time I was not able to park in the street in all my visits), so you have to pay for parking. The area is too sketchy to leave your car outside anyway. Access to the hotel is through a locked gate, that while protecting your car, make it more difficult to visit. BREAKFAST Breakfast is not included. As platinum status with Marriot I was eligible for ”breakfast voucher” but that was only $10, not enough for more than just a small breakfast sandwich. The selection was limited, but the food was fine. GYM gym was quite limited Other things room was a bit aging with chipped surface on the bed headboards. No Netflix with the non-smart-TV.
First, The location is fantastic. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The staff were all very nice and welcoming from the valet to front desk to wait staff and the maid. I really appreciated the added security of having m the elevator not stopping on floors 2-5 (the rooms) without using your room key. The bathroom was very nice. It had a wall mounted shower head and a hand held shower. There was a shelf for your things and a full glass door that other IHG hotels didn’t have. Also, plenty of towel bars and hooks. Yeah! The first floor restaurant is ok, not all that but decent. The roof top bar is beautiful with good views of the city. Lovely at sunset. My only real negative is the noise. The train noise is all night long. I didn’t believe trains are that long but I guess they are. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. Also people were letting their room doors slam very early and late.
Staying at the Doubletree at Warrens place in Tulsa Oklahoma at this very moment of writing this complain. There was an African American woman working the front desk from 6-9 p.m. on 6/10/24(Atleast, I visited the front desk twice in this timeframe). This is the worst, most unpleasant, interaction i have ever had with any Hilton employee in the 3 years that I have been a diamond member across the US. She was incredibly rude, never had anything nice to say or courtesy, and acted annoyed as if I was a bother to her day. I never use the front desk to check in as I use a digital key whenever I am able, so the fact that I even needed to interact with her or any other front desk employee is rare, and the fact that the way she acted was so rude and careless that I felt the need to write this should be a shock in itself. For example, I needed a hard key to use the elevator to get to my floor, as she questioned where I was parked as if I was not already checked in. She made sure to act annoyed about this request as well. I used the front desk to purchase a soda and candy bar, and gave my room number. She yelled at me and acted as if i was a child when I went to walk away. I understand that people have tough days and I am quick to overlook such behavior within reason(i am not a ”Karen”), but the fact of the matter is that I stay 60-70 nights a year, many times at this doubletree, and this woman acts as if I am an annoyance for the small amount of work she has to put in to not ruin my stay. I will be documenting this visit across every single platform I can to showcase to customers and colleagues of the horrendous customer service this employee decided to bring to work. Not once, but twice in one single visit. If this is how I was treated as a guest that frequents the facility and is a diamond member, imagine how many families that do not travel often are mistreated by one single individual that they are employing.
We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a conference being held on their at their on site conference center. The hotel grounds and common areas were in great condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The conference facilities were also top notch. It’s in a good area with lots of shopping and dining in the area if you have a car (most is a little far to walk). From the public facing elements, there’s not much to complain about. Until you get to your room. We had a suite for the conference and were extremely disappointed by the rooms. They are terribly in need of a refresh. The carpet was so loose that it had waves that you tripped over. It also had huge stains on it. The beds were fine but the chairs and couch in the suite were so old and dirty looking that nobody wanted to sit in them. Even the tables in the room were beaten to hell. It was a good sized pair of rooms that would have been nice if it had furniture purchased in the last decade. In the bathroom, the shower had a removable head attached to a bar you could move up and down. At its highest setting, my 5’2” wife couldn’t fit underneath it. I’m taller and had to use it exclusively in handheld mode. It was a dumb setup. The final issue that made me mad was they charged $12 for parking. They have a huge parking lot and are away from other businesses. There was no need to charge for the parking. If you want to charge for day conference attendees, fine but make it free for your guests. I would recommend looking elsewhere until they complete some upgrades.
We spent one night. Lots of room. The place looks new but the furniture looks tired. Needed more towels, the pool was cloudy and the maintenance man apologized. We had to request swimming towels and room towels. The air conditioning is in the room with thermostat in the living room. So we were very cold until we figured out how to manipulate it. The breakfast was great because they had cook to order eggs and a wait staff!

Room 103 I read the prior reviews. Mixed opinions of course. My views: we were greeted warmly and treated with great respect. This hotel is one frontage road off an interstate road. Noisy during the day, not too bad at night. Our room faced interstate. With the ac/heater unit running, the room was very quiet except for the occasional loud vehicle. It is not dark enough for me, maybe one more layer of light blocking curtains. But still OK. Very managed. Hotel has been newly updated. The lobby was in great shape. Beautiful fish tank. The room was spotless. Sheets good, bed good and bath towels good. Basic amenities but no coffee. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, sink and basic eating utensils. We tried here, because we can walk to our Son's home. It was worth the try and we will stay here again when the house is full of relatives.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe service here was outstanding. This place is quiet and spotless. I was so surprised because I had a bad experience before but the new manager Matthew made all the difference. You really want to give them a try if you ever stayed here before. Excellent amenities. Excellent waiting area. Rooms were spotless. Breakfast was awesome. Waffles, eggs, sausage and gravy and even cereal for the kids. There's a mall across the street and there's a couple of places eating areas very close by as well as Barnes & Noble and how could I forget there's also an indoor pool for the kids.If you traveling to Tulsa near the Woodland Hills Mall area or even if you're not please try this hotel.
