Very kind reception staff, great adjacent coffee bar and 3 parking bays

The rooms were clean and had adequate space. The area is delightful. Lauren, Koutarou and a Japanese woman (I didn't catch her name) at the front desk helped me to mail a package across the country and helped me with other things. Above expectations on customer service. We had a nice stay. Thank you

Excellent hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms are basic but it was a great base right between two stations, making it easy to get around. Shimokitazawa itself is a great place to hang out. The coffee shop in the hotel sells high quality coffee and possibly the best bagel I've had in years. Get the smoked salmon one!

It’s a nice modern building in a beautiful amd quiet little neighbourhood with some very walkable attractions nearby. That said, the rooms are not really worth the money - pretty basic and rather ‘institutional’ without much, if any ambience at all. For stays of less than three days they do not offer room cleaning, the reason being ‘concern for the environment’ I for one am not buying this. I think it is just to save money and increase profit. There is no TV, but old-style turntable record players amd a collection of 33rpm vinyls of jazz stuff to borrow and play on the. It’s a wacky idea certainly. Laundry room is dingy and unappealing, only available between 0700 to 2200. There are two train stations nearby, also a bar. The staff are very pleasant too.

Mustard is pretty epic as far as location goes, other reviews mention that the hotel is overpriced, but for tokyo and for a property this special I think the premium is justified. Having spent the whole winter traveling around Japan, you can definitely find budget options, but you're not getting the aura of a place like Mustard. Being around super cool creative people is definitely worth money! You don't even get this at 5 star hotels. Mustard is special and I loved staying there. I also didn't find the claims of the dirty rooms to be true. The carpet is a little beat, but the bedding was perfect and I slept well. My only point would be, there do seem to be very tiny, microscopic black things crawling around in the shower. That was a little weird. They're so tiny you wouldn't notice them unless you really look. That's weird! Please clean the showers better. The housekeeping area is open in the morning and you can see "MONTHLY GOAL" posted up, so the staff are definitely taking KAIZEN-type measures to keep improving, which is awesome and very Japanese. This is my new base in Tokyo. A lot of magic can happen at this place. Thanks for a great stay.

Small rooms, overpriced. No amenities at all.

Loved the hotel! Perfect location to explore the western part of central Tokyo, and is located close to metro lines bound for Shinjuku and Shibuya. The neighborhood is calm and cozy and offers several restaurants and cafés and can easily be explored by foot or using the hotels rental bikes.

Wonderful place to stay

Location is about 10-15 minutes from Shimokitazawa station. Not great if you have lots of luggages. It is closer to a smaller station, but the lines to many places are better to be accessed from Shimokitazawa. The area itself is great. Very young with many shops and cafes. The twin bunk bed room was spacious with high ceiling. Although the bathroom is a wet bathroom and on the smaller side. Laundry was fine except the dryer was not very strong so multiple rounds was required and in the end we just dried the clothes in the room. Cafe in the hotel was cute and lively with decent coffee. Overall great experience if one wants to stay away from the crowded areas of Tokyo.

great location only

시모키타자와 동네에 있는 문화공간과 붙어있어 볼거리가 많고, 쇼핑 하기 좋습니다. 방은 크지 않지만 지내기에 불편함은 없었고 1층에 카페가 있어 좋았어요. 시설도 깨끗하고 조용했습니다. 오다큐라인 급행을 타고 시모키타자와역에서 신주쿠역까지도 가까웠어요 ! 추천합니다.

도쿄 중심부와 그리 멀지 않으면서도, 조용한 동네에 있는 감성적인 호텔을 가보고 싶었어요. 지인한테 추천 받은 곳이라 더욱 기대됐던 곳입니다. 역시나 매우 감각적인 인테리어가 돋보였고, 투숙기간 동안 엘피를 빌려줘서 아침마다 들었어요. 아침에는 호텔 내에 있는 카페에서 커피를 마셨어요. 매일 아침 카페에 들르는 지역 주민들, 여행자들이 어우러져 보기 좋았습니다. 카피 맛도 매우 훌륭했고요. 다소 방음이 안된다는 후기가 있었지만 크게 신경 쓰일 정도는 아니었습니다. 일본 호텔치고는 룸도 넓은 편이라 편안하게 생활했습니다. 원래 조식을 먹는 타입은 아니어서 따로 신청하지 않았어요. 배고플 때는 근처 마트에서 도시락 사다가 먹었습니다.

위치말고는 그닥. 방은 독방같이 좁고 화장실 냄새나고 4박이상이 아니면 청소안해주고 수건에서 담배냄새나고 일단 너무 좁아서 캐리어 두개두면 자리끝 티비없고 그냥 들어와서 씻고만 자야하는 시스템 위치때문에 여길 예약했지만 다시는 예약안할곳 싸지도 않아.
